And that being the case, it's probably good they're also non-AH-sellable, because then it'd be Jolly Jester crap all over again.
However, I'm glad that they are CR-able, because no matter how easy obtaining the stuff is, it's theoretically possible someone might want to participate but didn't have the chance to get any, so it's nice to have the ability to send them to someone else.
Also, when I first noticed they couldn't be listen on the AH, I thought that meant they were clanbound, which would feel like a step down the 'unique clanbound items as rewards' road occasionally discussed in the suggestions forum, which is not a direction I'd like to see FR go.
I would be labelled a jew hater on FR but I absolutely hate the 'if you are against this, you are anti-semitic' tone this thread is taking. Jews aren't uniquely affected, there are plenty of people who can also be affected - everyone working in shifts, working weekends or living in non-american time zones to start with - but noooo, let's only do this because Jews will be affected and because goyim never accommodate anyone. And mind, I am actually for this idea, I just don't like how some supporters (Ttiuronohon in particular) are painting this not as a question on how to accommodate as many people as possible, but as a question whether you are for or against Jews in particular.
SPOILEYS for anyone that cares, but it looks like this is likely the next reward: https://www1.flightrising.com/game-database/item/39747
Interesting they're putting the items in the database as soon as the next stages are activated, not much surprise for anyone who wants to dig it up (lol) - but I don't know coding so maybe that's the just how it has to be done.
Greeeeeeeen. I like the theory I'm seeing around the forums that the green glow is something to do with the First Seed, though it's probably not going to be that since this is an Earth-themed event.
I'm seeing the same anons starting shit, then making new comments about how said shit is exhausting.
I'm not even going to keep the comments up. I will straight up delete your comments and mark them as spam to up the chances of your IP being flagged and make your ass have to do a captcha every time you comment.
btw im not a terf or transphobic/homophobic. i just think that its just been too much unrelated discussion. we have an Off Topic thread for a reason. why can't the discussions stay in there?
if politics and gender identity isn't off-topic, then why do we have any categories to begin with? just delete them all and let it be a general politics + dragons forum
So sorry for the mods for having to deal with this shit, especially after taking out all the time to write that explanation on terfs earlier i'm just throwing this into the ring for some support, guess some nonny really wanted to throw a temper tantrum of the most bullshit kind here now
They've been doing this for a while, started out posting some ableistic bs in an older post, went on to trolling the previous post (they're the same non who brought politics into the dreamcatcher thread) and now this.
Thankfully I have all the time in the world to delete it as it comes up.
i've been seeing some posts in FRD about how maybe the next breed will involve humans somehow, or we'll get "human" familiars. i think both of these are unlikely, but i'd also.. really hate it? i like that there aren't any humans in modern flight rising times, and i don't want them to change it.
I know everyone is sick to death of new breed talk but can Nature PLEASE have a non-gem breed. I have zero money for it and the scrolls are unavailable half the time.
Just hatched the egg I got from the event and got spearmint/emerald/peacock (lightning eyes). Haven't scried her yet, but man I feel lucky just for this.
Seems pretty conclusively tied to the big reveal/reward for the event, see Aequorin's posts in this thread: https://www1.flightrising.com/forums/frd/3021228/1 So whatever's going to happen is significant enough to necessitate downtime. (And as mentioned elsewhere here, the impatience I'm seeing is making me feel rather jaded and old. Yeah, it'll be fun to find out what's what, but the 'We have to wait one extra day??? Nooooo!' mood just can't resonate.)
I feel this is an odd little question to ask here but the anonymity is nice, but if it's not really the place to ask, feel free to yeet this!
So I have little clue on g1 prices, and I was wondering if 18k for a g1 banescale shadow/obsidian was a bit.. low? I'm trying to get rid of dragons and someone offered this to me on it on the basis of the fact the lowest g1s on the ah are that price. I feel it's a bit low but as I mentioned I don't know prices well so I thought I wanted to ask anonymously. Sorry it's such a minor question ksfkfnskdk but I'm a bit anxious about this
The 'OMG IT MUST BE A MODERN BREED, I WILL DIE IF IT'S ANYTHING LESS' attitude captured by the thread somebody linked above (and, as noted, the mention that at least a couple of times staff has stepped in to quell similar hype) got me back on this line of thinking. If ancients were intended by the devs to be a release valve to keep users engaged while modern breeds are worked on, I'm going to hazard a guess that that hasn't worked as well as hoped.
And while I'm not slavering over the possibility myself, it's because I'm still running multiple breeding projects on existing modern breeds and am far from bored with them. I don't have any ancients yet and might never do so.
I'm sure this will start a fight, if not as big of a one as it would in the Suggestions forum, but I'll keep banging this drum whenever the topic comes up. "But naked dragons was the whole POINT of Ancients!!1!" No it wasn't. Easing the workload on the art team was the point of ancients. Pasting an existing whirl of flower petals over each pose does not need to be done by the art team. It can be done by pretty much any human with a pulse. Programming things so that only items with X tag could be put on ancients would, of course, require effort, but the same sort of 'this accent can only be worn by adult female snappers and adult male snappers with pose-change scrolls' they've already shown themselves quite capable of, and the impact on ancient appeal would, I think, be enormous.
And yes, of course .5 seconds after this happened the complaints would roll in. "Why X floaty apparel and not Y floaty apparel?" But that's fine. That's the beauty of it, do the easiest stuff first, and once the programming is in place, you can ancient-adapt the stuff that requires maybe a tiny bit of resizing, cropping, etc gradually, piece by piece.
