Honestly, I don't think a site as small as Flight Rising can afford to be ignorant of the drama blogs. I mean, this case had the player base in a panic that they could get banned for RPing on the forums. They probably have people that quit over it before the dude admitted to lying.
Admittedly, I can actually see distortion of editing on his ban message now that I read it on my phone, but still.

they def do! i remember years ago, when there were still registration windows, i complained on one general fandom site about missing the last window to make an account, and one user offered to give me their old account they didn't use any more. i declined (i just wanted to vent lol) but out of curiosity i checked their profile days later and the account was banned (it wasn't banned the day they offered it), so they definitely keep an eye on off-site mentions of the site
