i like it! definitely wasn't expecting a community event so it's a fun surprise. it's a bit simple so far, but as a fairly casual player these days that works for me lol. i hope they do more events after this, i miss pet site events

I don't know how to put this but people looking at Velya, going "her face is masculine! she's trans!!" and then comparing male and female poses and features to her makes me hyper uncomfortable
doesn't have to reflect their views of irl people after all, but ...

in light of the newest update and looking through bote lore, im gonna throw out a wacky theory: if a new modern breed, it will not be related to any flight or deity, and will instead be a beastclan created dragon or otherwise associated with them. scrolls/eggs will drop in the coliseum or (less likely) through a new beastclan related mechanic/activity.

I just now realized the site banner updates with the tunnels! When they're in progress, the little flag towards the right is green with an arrow on it, when the tunnel is done and the diggers are sleeping, like now, it's orange with Z's on it! That's so cute.

I've given Crim lantern oil and received 500t + another lantern oil at least 4 times now lol

I'm getting the mental image of Crim taking my oil, admiring it for a bit, turning it around in her hands, mumbling her appreciation. Then she hands it back to me with 500t just for letting her handle it. Apparently that's some /fancy/ lantern oil.

the progress bars are filling pretty fast. maybe people are mass-dumping all the items theyve been hoarding during the event

Wow! That's a lot! If you want to know how I know these numbers, I used the inspect tool in my browser. The progress is shown as a long decimal, so I took it to wolfram alpha to rationalize it for me. Several times the result was either too small or too large so I refreshed Dustcarve Dig for the updated progress."

No drama or anything, I just thought this was neat and wanted to share here too. I really thought the numbers were a lot smaller.

That's what we're getting after all! And the super special reward for participating in the Dustcarve Dig is an item that creates an adult G1.

With this update, Flight Rising is introducing its first modern breed in nearly six years, the Obelisk! While all participants of the Dustcarve Dig event received a Dormant Obelisk Statue (which spawns one adult Obelisk), it will be possible to purchase additional breed change scrolls in the Treasure Marketplace.

The Obelisk is an uncommon breed (possessing a 25 day breeding cooldown) that eats seafood and insects. It can breed with all other modern breeds and wear all existing apparel.

Stupidest gripe: I am trying to get several very specific G1s. During banescale release, 5 dragons matching my parameters were born. You know how many obies were born that match the exact same parameters?
