i was thinking more about flight rising, but also in general, do people register accounts (pet sites, emails, whatever that is not for business or school) using their real name?

i was sorta under the impression that most people used pseudonyms online, at least for leisure things like pet sites?

but then people talk about submitting scans of ids when there is a problem or to appeal a ban or clear up a mix up in premium currency purchasals or whatever, not just in fr but also in other online games, and now i don't know anymore

After seeing all the issues with multi account accusations and what not, I switched my name on my user profile to match my ID. I've had my account since 2013 and I'll be damned if I at least don't have that option to prove I am who I say I am.

I did the same with my blizzard/battle net account for WoW, too. Can never bee too careful if it's an investment.

Obviously, I've missed a lot and I can kinda catch up just by going through the forum announcements and such.

What I kinda need help with:
Are there items/dragons, that were previously available/cheap, that I should hold on to and/or not sell for cheap? (Related question: what's the status on Sprites and armbands from 1st year?)
I'm in Plague, but thought about switching to Earth even before I had my hiatus. How's Earth these days? Still tight-knit and friendly?

Also how old is the average player, these days?

Might be a little late, but if you have any dragons with lower IDs, like 4, 5, or even 6 digit dragons (depending on the numbers) they'll be worth a ridiculous amount.

Sprites are going really good. Armbands are cold as ice :( They do inflate so you'll definitely be making a profit, but they're so hard to sell... zzzz

As for average player, they newer players are typically younger. Obviously a player that's been around for seven, pushing on eight, years is gonna be older. So I think the average age, if I were to guess, is around twenty.

There's someone I really love but I can't reach, because Covid-19, I basically can't. We have spoken for a very long time, we even met through FR, but she's in another country.

I really don't expect to get an actual answer to this but it's bugging me so I thought it's worth a shot.. Don't really feel like diving into the forums so sorry if this isn't the place for this.

Haven't actually played in years, but decided to check out anni stuff and buy some of the new breeds of dragons just to have. Wanted to name one Volk after a character from somewhere but apparently that name is banned? I'm certain that wasn't the case before as my friend had one with that name in the past.

So yeah did something happen that got (what I believe to be?) a seemingly inoffensive name banned or did something bug out?

it seems like UMA artists make a billion accents for male spirals, but rarely make any for females. is there a reason for this?

Eh, I just did it. It's an attractive and unusual combo that I felt kind of greedy about, but I'm never going to gene it, and they seemed sincere in wanting the dragon for itself rather than to flip, and I'M NOT EVER GOING TO CHECK TO SEE IF THEY DID ok.

so it's kind of a common practice to like, draw accents and skins and stuff on your adoptables in adopt shops, right? like not every shop does it obv but i've seen enough that do to be wondering: are the artists of the accents/skins in question ever bothered by that?? bc i've also noticed most times that option comes with a sponsorship cost or something, and i was thinking that to some extent that could probably be considered making money off of someone else's work, and i'm not sure whether that line of thinking holds up but it sure made me nervous so i thought i should ask.

this is a concern for me bc i'm opening my own adopt shop in the nearish future, and i'm thinking about whether i want to make accent/skin sponsorships available, and this is something that i might need to take into consideration for that decision.

so like, are my concerns here valid and should i be planning around them? or is this just considered accepted behavior in the community? any second opinions on the matter would help me a lot, thank you ^^

I've seen lots of adoptables artists that are like "I won't do overtly complicated accents/skins" which rules out a LOT of them, lol.

I haven't seen skin/accent artists have issues with it, because usually the adoptable artist links to the accent in the list of what's been sponsored- and that's free advertisement!

If you think about it, you're not making the same profit off the accent, you're doing a tribute with free advertisement for the accent creator.

so usually im all for newbies doing whatever, knowing the game before getting into it, ect. but i'm trying to use this nesting service for one of my pairs and i got pinged by someone who joined a week and a half ago, only has three forum posts (all in this one nesting thread, including the ping they gave to me), no friends, and neither of the two pairs of dragons they have nesting (which i assume are from the thread) have the names of who to return them to in the bio, which is not necessarily bad but a bit unusual. i'm really attached to this pair, as i got them as a gift, and would be really upset if anything happened to them. is this a valid concern or am i just being paranoid?

I'm having a hard time exalting dragons lately, I'm finding too many cute ones!

I've been away a long while, came back recently, and was picking up fodder from the AH and noticed I got an XYY. Not a G1, not even fully gened or anything. What's the dragon market like? Should I try to resell them at a higher price or just exalt them?

If it's not a G1, and not gened, it's sadly not worth much- unless you want it for yourself because you like the colors!

Is it just me or do chests completely stop dropping in the Coliseum when keyboard controls are on? I have to use the keyboard because clicking the screen makes my carpal tunnel worse.

I think it’s just the luck of the draw. I’ve been almost keyboard exclusive since it was implemented and have gotten plenty of chests in that time.

Thunderhead Savannah’s being a lot nicer to me than Woodland Path at the moment so sometimes a venue change can help? Even if it just feels less boring.

Can blocked users see PMs you've sent them? I sent a user a PM and then blocked them almost immediately after and was wondering if it's possible for them to read it.

Either to quickly boost their flight's dom points, or to gain tickets in a raffle faster than training their own dragons. Some people will go all-out for a prize they want.

Asked someone about a dragon a few months ago, and they recently got back to me and agreed to give it to me. However, the dragon was sent to me from a different account than the one I messaged/saw the dragon in (dragon was still in the first account's hibden after they responded to me). This second account has no comments, has a similar bio to the first account, and is friends with the first account and another, third account which is extremely similar (one comment, similar bio, friends with first two). The second and third accounts were created about a month apart from each other, and roughly three years after the first. The first account responded almost immediately after I thanked the second account and spoke oddly about the second account; didn't refer to the second account as a friend or helper, just as a "different account" which to me was a red flag. Got multi-ring vibes and it's making me very nervous since I was gifted the dragon instead of purchasing it (could look sus to mods). While this is the only interaction I've ever had with these accounts, I'm still afraid of being falsely implicated in a multi-ring and possibly banned for it.

Am I worrying about nothing? What should I do?

If you messaged them onsite? Staff would be able to see that. Yeah it's a bit weird, but like... they don't ban everyone who does business with a multi. Am not staff but don't think you'd get banned, and if you do, appeal will the context. They're not entirely unreasonable. Report the multi though lol, that is just so obvious.
