As someone who really enjoys BotW, got the DLC and have played other LoZ games, I think it's perfectly fine if you do not like the game very much. I can see how the game can seem rather overwhelming, and it's pretty much guaranteed you'll spend a lot of time playing. It contrasts a lot from the norm of the series in so many ways because of it being an open-world game.
