To really encapsulate just how much of an asshole this user is: the game you linked to was created by a bunch of 18/19 year olds in what's known as a game jam. Essentially these are students trying to make a portfolio of games for their future career in various gaming jobs (i.e. programming, graphic design, music, etc.). I'm assuming that FunkEngine approached them as a fan and used their excitement over having a fan to get permission to essentially steal a piece of their portfolio to try to make a profit of their own. (Further assumptions here:) And to also get their revenge for having the first stolen artwork retconned by staff.
