I wonder if it was reported nearly as much when it was released so that staff could properly replace it? I think the reason why the Plague of Madness skin was caught so early on was because Primal was in the popularity upswing and enough people recognized it immediately to report it
yeah I believe someone eventually did reach out to staff about it and got something back along the lines of "eh it's different enough" but that was pretty late in the festival. still a weird move, tho.
I also vaguely recall the artist posting on someone else's profile about the skin being based off of GW2 but it's been so long I'm not sure where to find that anymore
