i got my first random message on FR asking me to rename a dragon because it's an 'upsetting' name (their message was "Hi. I saw you have a dragon named Parvo. I think a different name would suit her better, because parvo is a virus in dogs that more often than not leads to death. It's rather upsetting to me and others to see a dragon casually named after something like that, and if you'd like help thinking of new names I'd love to give you some suggestions!")

You could actually report them for harassing you over your own gameplay, especially since it's a G1, and doesn't affect them in any way.

then they excitedly started talking to me about aethers, and showed me their hatches and said they were going to breed them for the special eye colors and i explained to them how the gene system in FR works because they did not understand it (eye colors and types dont get passed down,)

iirc hyrultia was the one that went around spreading rumors that mythicalviper was friends/family with the staff despite being warned multiple times not to spread drama in discord. idk if they have a personal problem with mythicalviper but their attitude about it has been really lousy. Calling foul play when people point out issues with their accusations, throwing tantrums in dms when people try to talk them down, and overall just being a shitty person. they're right, the system needs revamping, but my god stopping artists from participating when we're already getting so few submissions is not the way to go

does anyone know if brightmyth was banned/what he was banned for? his profile is unsearchable + his dragons no longer have like buttons. seems a little weird to do to him after they just picked one of his skins for the fest.

I opened like 40 each rusted, iron, and gold chests and I didn’t get either one. Shoulda just held onto them for my birthday like I’d planned lol
The invisibility cloak is particularly frustrating because it’s an item with a unique and pretty popular feature that cannot be achieved by anything else. I don’t get the logic of not adding them when EVERY OTHER Marva item is in the chests year-round. I guess at least it comes back yearly but even then it’s solely left to chance.

So can you actually trade kickstarter familiars and sprites for gravel, or are those dummy trades? Cause if they're real, I can just see someone being dumb enough to do them and then melting down when they end up with nothing but six fun-but-worthless copies of Marva's Marvelous Broom Handles or whatever...

I see this brought up a lot, and honestly, I'd like your opinions. Do you think previous festival items should be unretired? Should anything be retired nowadays? Personally, I do like when some items retire, because.. I don't know, but I just feel like it's so easy to get things from festivals nowadays. If I miss them, I know I can get them down the line for cheap, so there's just no real drive for me. I'm not sure where I lean on unretiring the original items, but.. I do have multiple dragons that need Boneyard Tatters, so uh

I signed up for a skin run, it came in today, and I don't even want the skin anymore. But I would feel really bad trying to resell it so soon after the run. So I guess it'll just sit in my hoard forever.
You can put up the skin on the AH for the price you paid it, the artist will sure not bite your head off since you are not reselling it for a higher price.

Yeah, I don't believe that the staff did this on purpose to mess with people. It makes sense for a April Fool's event to have scenes, and the ones we got are funny. I don't care if people want solid backgrounds, this is not targeted at them

Apparently you can't delete forum threads with 10 or more replies. How do you feel about this change now?
I don't see an issue? If a thread has more than 10 replies, odds are there are other users making contributions. Why should one person be able to delete other users' posts?

a fun* way to find out who was banned recently is to go to the auction house and find all the fodder dragons you can't buy
*it's not fun, sometimes they were obviously funnel accounts and you have to block the user to be able to snipe cheap fodder again

I dreamt my account was named something related to tropical birds and I exclusively kept Tundras with Iri/Shim and a tertiary called "Accent" that added shiny streaks of the tertiary color (think like iridescent bird feathers) it actually looked nice RIP :( I remember I was in talks with an accent artist to make like 20 copies of a tundra beak accent.
