AYRT

Prismatic tokens honestly slipped my mind as they're cheap enough and are event-only but honestly, I feel the same way about Baldwin as I do the breeding pursuits. These 2 should be upgraded to weekly/monthly only at the minimum, with requirements increased accordingly so people don't have to disrupt their regular gameplay just for them imo.

While it's not a big deal to miss a few daily pursuits here and there as there's some leeway, I could see it being a problem if someone gets unlucky enough to roll those incompletable daily pursuits enough times in a month. What's more with real life getting in the way of actually getting to it every day.

Couldn't find the thread so I'm doing my own math.
Assuming a 28-day month,
Daily pursuits = 5 pursuits x 2 points x 28 days = 280
Weekly pursuits = 6 pursuits x 5 points x 4 weeks = 120
Monthly pursuits = 7 pursuits x 20 points x 1 month = 140
Total points = 540
If you want to get the highest tier (525), the maximum daily pursuits you can miss (assuming weekly & monthly pursuits are 100%'d) is 7 (14 points). Goes up to 22 (44 points) in a 31-day month, although I'd imagine some months would work wonky with weeklies.

I think that it probably won't matter as much in a month or two. The items in the achievement shop won't be worth much of anything once everyone has what they want/need, so pursuits will be less important. Unless they are going to continually add to the achievement shop or swap out items. I wish they had included more consumable items or perks. Things like - a certain number of points would top of your dragon's hunger for the day or give you an experience boost in the coli for 24 hours. Mystery boxes where you could trade in points for things like Baldwin material crates or Seafood crates that give you an assortment of seafood items that are guaranteed to add up to a certain number of food points. They could have went a bunch of different ways with it.

i almost wish there would be some obscenely expensive items - like costing 800+ points - to really give us something to work towards. i completely understand why they left the prices at what they are but like you said theyll be more or less worthless within a month or two

Anon who started this.

This is how I feel. Right now pursuits and achievements feel 'big' and shiny, so of course people want to complete them, and I don't blame them, but in a couple of months, with everyone being able to do achievements and pursuits, I doubt it will really matter in the long run.

I just did the math and I used a 30 day month, and it comes out to that thread's math (which is in the suggestions forum, locked thread about Roundsey raffle being a pursuit).

I also wonder if we will need the same number of points per month or if it is going to change depending on the number of days in the month.

As the other anon said, however, I just don't see it as a big deal, if you can't 100% the dailies every single month and achieve the maximum number of tokens per month. These are going to be recurring tasks and I don't know how often they will be adding to the achievement shop. I also don't know if they ever plan to retire/rotate the items out of the shop, which means, for now, until we hear otherwise, these are available indefinitely.
