i won't lie, i also noticed the weird trend of constantly begging for donations with dramatic screeds about their life situation while simultaneously blasting money at games. i really dont like making conspiracy theories and accusations about donation threads because i never know people's life situations, and poverty is incredibly stressful and traumatizing without a doubt. but seeing their posts about spending hundreds on petsites of all things and getting tons of specialty videogame gifts? all while posting about how they're at terrible risk of homelessness and literal death? it just makes me think that they're either lying about their circumstances or are just abysmally, dangerously bad with finances.
