i wonder if it has anything to do with staff being more harsh on the face replacement types of skins. still though, feels weird to ban for that...? but i cant think of anything else
yeah, id imagine if they wanted to crack down on "face" skins they would be handled in a similar way as that gun skin from a bit ago. also there'd be a lot more skin artists being banned lol
not saying its impossible that this is the reason, it just feels a bit far-fetched. my money is on something happening behind the scenes because ur right, theres no obvious public thing hes done
lol I wonder if someone hit him up over dm on FR to be like 'yes I would like to discuss liquidating my g1 imp for thousands of dollars worth of gems; let's move this conversation off site to discord where we can see our actual conversation history' and staff got out the banhammer for off site trading.
id imagine theyd need some actual proof of item/currency exchange alongside that kind of PM to actually necessitate a ban, though. some random asshole maliciously sending brightmyth/anyone a PM saying "lets do bad things but offsite teehee ðŸ¤" probably wont cause a ban if there's no exchange associated with it. all that being said im not staff or brightmyth so Who Knows lol
Sorry I wasn't clear, I was imagining moving to discord for ease of basic conversation being something most people would likely agree to. Scenario being:
Person: let's discuss prices on discord, the website with live chat feature BM: yes
ahhh, makes sense. afaik off-site communication for trades is fully allowed? not sure if im missing a rule/article but from the below article it says that normal fr-for-fr trades that are organized offsite are allowed, but fr staff cant step in to "support" a user if the trade is a scam or otherwise. in any case this situation seems kinda messy lol
Oh yep, looks like they're explicit about it being allowed but not their responsibility if you get ripped off.
"What types of trades are allowed but unsupported? Eligible cross-site trades/Flight Rising to Flight Rising trades that are negotiated on a third-party platform (Slack, Discord, etc)"
AYRT yeah youre totally right about how it would have been handled simmilar to the gun skin. my only thinking in that being the reason is brightmyth has a LOT of face replacement skins.... but again i cant see this as a reason he would get outright banned? behind the scenes also isnt impossible to me. i wouldnt be shocked if he got into a fight over the skin contests behind the scenes, but i also dont know him personally. i guess well just have to wait and see
i don't think BMT is likely tbh, with recent customs selling for 50kg+ and the RNG adopts being so popular, if anyone has enough pure g to buy a g1 imp it would be brightmyth lol
It's possible Brightmyth had nearly enough for the imp scroll, but wasn't quite there, and decided to buy the remaining gems on the black market because it's a huge discount compared to buying for official prices.
Or, they were actually selling on the black market.
That's if a black market ban at all, of course. Could be funneling. Could be harrassment. We don't know.
