Even if they retire new stuff nowdays, the amount of players, and thus items, will keep price low for years. I don't want to retire something today so that I can sell it for maybe 1000g in 10 years, tbh.
I don't see why early fests stuff can't be in joxar box. The number of items in there is already so high that you can't reliably get any specific item and it keeps growing. I doubt the prices would crash significantly, Light halo is still pretty expensive. Would just make someone's day once every blue moon.
Agreed. Hell, you could even weight the boxes towards newer stuff / make the earlier items rarer if you were really worried about messing things up. Especially for early festival skins/accents, the chance would still be abysmal.
