Can't they actually copy pasted crowvidae's entire skin shop code, then tried to claim that they found the template (code and text) online. Wow, how unfortunate that they don't remember where they found it and even more unfortunately, they'd just deleted their browser history days before!

If they'd copied any artist it would've been difficult to tell (or tbh if they just copied the shop code layout I think it'd be fine), but crowvidae's shop has super distinctive lore and theme, so they shot themselves in the foot by copying both the code AND all the introduction/pinglist/post text. Then claimed "usually I do all those things myself" like how shitty can you get, just admit it and apologize

my personal annoyances are raffle/PB sheets that don't include what the daily bonuses are and leaderboards that only include incredibly limited stats, like only the top 10 senders or only daily stats.

At some point I think people need to take personal responsibility for the way they choose to engage with FR, as opposed to demanding FR accommodate them when their objectives are excessive.

Like the bestiary thing- I personally never took it that the mission was to bond with all 1101 familiars every day. People do, and then complain about how time consuming that is, like it's a thing that needs to be fixed. Of course it takes hours, it's an impractical and over-the-top way to grind. I doubt that was the intended application of the Familiar system.

Or people who run coli 12 hrs a day for weeks, sometimes with pre-existing conditions, and then complain of hand pain. I don't know anything you can do on a computer for that many hours every day and not have trouble with your joints, especially if you already have medical issues that make you prone to repetitive injury. Humans aren't really made for doing repetitive tasks on a computer for hours, we've known this for decades, it's Bad For You. I've got carpal tunnel myself from my office job. Computers are the devil. No amount of ergonomic mousepad or keyboard tilting ever made a difference. Coli keyboard mode was definitely helpful for people with mouse problems, and I use that sometimes, but to say even that is not enough? Maybe you should accept that there's not going to be something they can do to make your excessive behavior more comfortable, because it's excessive and that's on you. Back In My Day having hand pain because you were such a hard core gamer was a known risk. It was understood that if you were choosing to do something like that for exorbitant amounts of times, there could be a physical toll.

Idk. this whole dynamic of people playing FR in excessive ways and then criticizing them for the time/physical outcomes, it just feels like eating 40 hot dogs and then blaming Oscar Meyer when you puke.

I noticed that we have three conquest battles scheduled so far for 2023, but I am unsure what to expect from the first 2...

Mar 12 - Mar 18: Lightning (Conquest), Fire (Conquest, Internal)

I am assuming it means 'Internal' means that Fire will not have a public buy or oof raffle. Is that accurate?

Oct 8 - Oct 14: Fire (Conquest, Joint), Water (Conquest, Joint)

What does 'Joint' mean? Coordinating themes? The flights agreeing beforehand to a bunch of terms?

Nov 26 - Dec 2: Light (Conquest, vs Arcane), Arcane (Conquest, vs Light)

Case 1: It means Fire and Lightning picked the same week to conquest push, but it was not a planned battle. Could turn into spontaneous battle or nothing.

I think the other two are planned battles. Maybe the second battle isn't being done with coordinating mutual theme?

Booleano was very public about saving for Willow in several discords well before the sale, and was selling a ton of her hoarded eggs and other items. At one point, she had her discord status set to something like "Willow funds: XXXkg/800kg." I think Shian didn't want to deal with the rabid people who try to tell her what she can and can't do with her own dragon, so the whole deal was through DMs/private.

Prepaid UMA Question

So, odd question. I took an unexpected hiatus for a while. I prepaid for an accent in 2020, and it didn't get enough funding to print, so it never got printed (checked the database to confirm). The artist is still active, but they don't appear to be active in making accents anymore. I genuinely don't know if it's acceptable or not to ask about it. I completely understand that I might be SOL cause of it being so long, but isn't it also considered rude to not refund if an accent doesn't get enough to fund it? I don't do social interactions outside of sales, so I really have no idea.

Zrcalo Custom Skin

So, after learning about what a giant shitstain Zrcalo is, I am now deeply uncomfortable owning a 1-print custom skin by them. Idk what to do with it? It's one that is grandfathered in and I know it'd be a pricey motherfucker, but I'm also on the fence about selling it because well, I don't want Zrcalo's stuff to make its way into someone else's hoard and make them uncomfortable. Like, it's a nice skin too, but the creator I can't even. What do I do?

just remembering how I was smeared around on DR a while back because I almost exclusively post in "favorite dragon above you" kind of threads
got called an attention whore, validation seeking, annoying, all kinds of shit

honestly though... is it really that wrong to get happiness from a pet sim by getting validation that the things ive worked for for nearly a decade are pretty? the mindset that i should be ashamed of that boggles me, but it definitely super hurt my feelings. i try to write at least a paragraph or two about the user above me and what i like about whatever the subject of the thread is so i can make someone else's day too, those threads are such a positive experience ime and it sucks that i get anxiety about posting to them now. i still do, but theres always that little nagging thought that im gonna get smeared again

God, so I constantly update my sales thread because I'm a big dumb idiot that always ends up falling out of love with dragons and/or hatching monsters that get sold right away. I feel bad because I update my sales thread so often with stuff and wonder how many people have me banned because of the pings. I try not to ping multiple times a day because obviously, that's too much, but I also feel bad when people see my pings two days in a row since I'm sure some people find that too frequent.

in reality, I just want to be sure people know they're up for sale since I get asked about sales on non-sale tab dragons constantly. I know I shouldn't really care about other people's pings and stuff and that they can block me if they find it annoying at all, but I still have that anxiety about upsetting people lmao.

part of me: happy to sell dragons and see them go to new homes!
other part of me: oh god oh no oh god please don't hate me pwease

It's weird, I think FR is the only site I've had this issue/fear with. It's not like I'm a reseller or anything malicious, I just have an egg hatching problem and frequently go through my lair to find things that stand out too much and sell 'em.

How do you guys manage that kind of anxiety? It's unhealthy af and I hate that it even happens and I know that I shouldn't pay attention to people who complain about that stuff. It's not like I'm c0 up in here lmao.

Granted, adult fodder doesn't look particularly expensive to me right now (around 6.5kt per adult as of the time of this post) but I also admit I haven't really been keeping tabs on the prices.

does your flight have a decent food bank program? im currently in arcane and we used to have a really good one run by Tobin but they've passed the buck and the new bank is... less than stellar, ill say. i dont want to talk shit about it but there have been multiple poor experiences on my end

i legit can't feed my lair without a food bank since i cant coli and i have... a Lot of dragons so a good food bank is an important part of a flight to me, so I'd like to move flights now

what are your experience with your flight's food bank? what kind of system is set up? are they reliable with delivery? do they accept treasure donations in place of food donations? how much are you able to take per week? do they let you sub one stack for another, ie if you have 1 stack of meat, insects, seafood, and plants stipend, can you sub the plants for another stack so you can get 2 stacks of meat instead of just 1? anything else you wanna add?
