Can't they actually copy pasted crowvidae's entire skin shop code, then tried to claim that they found the template (code and text) online. Wow, how unfortunate that they don't remember where they found it and even more unfortunately, they'd just deleted their browser history days before!

If they'd copied any artist it would've been difficult to tell (or tbh if they just copied the shop code layout I think it'd be fine), but crowvidae's shop has super distinctive lore and theme, so they shot themselves in the foot by copying both the code AND all the introduction/pinglist/post text. Then claimed "usually I do all those things myself" like how shitty can you get, just admit it and apologize

Am I the only one who doesn't see a problem with this? At least not to the degree to call someone shitty over it. Like.. yeah, the customs section is word-for-word same. So what? It's generic "customs are this much". I don't even see much of a problem copying the theme even if it's 1:1, since the theme is already done to death anyway.

I wouldn't give a shit if someone copied my customs shop like this, lore and all. Unless crowvidae themselves is hurt by it, I don't see the problem. Just my own opinion on it. They're the only affected party here.

anyone who has a problem with VairaSmythe is chronically online, territorial, and stupid.

1. BBC code doesn't have alot of room to customize. its not building a website, its aligning text in a thread.

2. the shops are not similar. the only similar post would be the rules for "custom skins". the rules are basic and not specific to crowvidae. who cares. this section is the opnly portion that is copied:

General
Blueprints must be provided when ready to print.
- Max of 10 copies can exist for PRIVATE works. For every 5 prints, I take 2 copies; 1 and 2 prints are okay.

this is a niche ick but their skin shop name weirds me out, genuinely. it feels appropriative like they're trying for it to be named something ~ exotic ~

of course i don't know their ethnicity so perhaps this is within their culture, but given this information i feel a bit more valid in my ick, it's been bothering me for a while.

I did take Crow’s code. I never take full blocks of code and slap it on and call it good. Except this time – when I’m meeting some people I really look up to as artists I introduce myself as a liar. That is what makes me feel sick.
I’m sorry I lied – It’s not in my nature and I wish I could take it all back. There are no excuses, so I won’t make any. I’m sorry I lied to you all, and subsequently hurt our potential friendships.
As to the reasons?
I’m not lying when I said I wanted a fresh start online. I’m in a new Province with no support system except my partner and dog. I don’t have a job, and the stress of leaving my only IRL friend in the area (my Mom, yeah I know, brutal) has made me behave in a way that is unbecoming and I really wish I could take it all back. Not the people finding out – but the whole damn thing. Not trying to excuse, just trying to give context. Over stressed, depressed, and unimpressed with myself.
I lied to my partner (who doesn’t even play FR, like wtf), people on my personal server FRF, and you all.
I’m going to mute notifications for a bit, so people can process this information how they need to but I can understand if you all don’t trust me again.

It's even worse if you factor in his friends, like SweetTreatLion, since they sell shit for him and scheme together. The number of active posts they have across dragons for sale, auctions, and find a dragon is absolutely obscene.

He even had a sale thread he was bumping over 50 times within 24 hours earlier this month. I'd say block him 100%, he doesn't care at all that he's bothering everyone.

She's in the Facebook group asking for help on her hib den now, earlier it was her familiar collection. She's buying several 100kg+ dragons, and yet she can't pick up a few gems worth of materials or coli familiars herself off the auction house?

It's not that egregious, but I'm sick of her dominating the group. She's easily the #1 poster and probably makes 1/3 of the total posts there at least.

First they make several threads complaining about how triggering the new Plague banner is for them (which I could easily believe if not for their history of using the same themes and visuals in their dragon dressups), then posts about how happy they are people donated gems and how they will be switching "once their nests are done". Now, all of a sudden, they're staying in Plague until the end of the week due to dom? I guess that banner isn't THAT triggering if dom rewards are more important for them.

FR users stop falling for blatantly obvious grifts challenge (impossible) (failed instantly), it's clear as day they just wanted someone to fund their upcoming flight change (assuming they even end up changing).

This isn't about any specific user, and is minor salt, but still something I really get tired of seeing.

Can people *please* stop going 'americans so stupid/backwards' every time the topic of imperial measurements come up? What does it really add to your post? It doesn't make you look any more sophisticated, or smart. It also isn't funny. It is just tired.

To me, it is like the joke your parents tell you from THEIR childhood for the 1000th time and expect the same laugh as the first time you heard it. Yes, we get it, it was funny once, maybe even the first few times, but now? can we just move on to other jokes?

This is so petty, but i feel like i see them in every FRD thread i open and i can't stand the penguin animation they add to the top of each comment. It's a pain to read the text when there's something moving right above it.

I don't even know why it bothers me so much since i'm the kind of person to always have subtitles on when watching a show etc. But it's the same vibe as super active forum sigs, it hurts my brain.
