Man the community on FR acts like undel went into their house and personally pissed in their cereal and kicked their dog.

Suck it up buttercup, the event will still be a week and you will have enough time to grind that shit.

But you see, Undel getting covid is harder on ME, PERSONALLY, because--

thats the crazy part to me, the event isn't getting shortened in any way - it's still a week long. and, it'll slightly overlap with trickmurk so your coli drops will be even better for those few days. the only "downside" i can think of is that for a few days you'll need to choose between brewing trickmurk items vs valentines items, but theres so few vday baldwin items that i can only imagine this impacts people who want to brew 40+ of each vday item. you'll have almost a full week to do that anyways lol

We’ve had events overlap in the past (I wanna say the Pirate event overlapped with one of the food festivals or something?), and as far as I remember like… nothing bad happened. Everything is set up to still distribute both event items, and the Valentines event is a whole week like you said - anything you need to brew you will have plenty of time. Unless you’re brewing a prismatic token, you’ll also have plenty of time to brew festival stuff after (even then you def have time to at least brew the skins, and you can always wait until the last day to start the token brew.)

Even if they did start today and the event ended Saturday, people would still complain that it’s unfair because it’s too many events happening in a row or something (already one post on SMR complaining about this). I think some people need to remember that they don’t have to play everyday of an event - they can just pop in a few days when they have the most time, or just play half an hour a day if they want. If too many events is exhausting to you Just like don’t do a solid two weeks of coli grinding? Take a break, just do dailies, I don’t know. It seems like people are blaming their own inability to put a limit on their personal game play time on the staff when it’s kinda a them problem. OR blaming staff because their work or school or whatever life don’t coincide with the events.

there’s really no way to win for staff because there’s always gonna be people inconvenienced by something, and they’re gonna be loud and annoying about it as tho Undel woke up one day and said ‘I hate these users specifically, I’m gonna move around the event times so they can’t play as much lol’. Man, people make mistakes. It’s a free to play game. Chill out. (Disclaimer I thought the love event originally started on the 14th anyway so I was like Wutevs The whole time.)

yeah, i definitely agree with what youre saying in the 2nd paragraph. it feels like some people really only care about profiting off of stuff in FR, and if they arent maximizing their profits theyre "failing" in some way. i could understand this seniment being applied to something like your own flight's dom push or NotN, but for a very minor holiday it seems like a big overreaction.

imo staff have taken steps to make events less time-gated so people have ample time to get the items, but it seems like people have intepreted "you have a week to get this small handful of stuff :)" as "if im not playing at 100% all week im doing it wrong"

I'm actually happy with this shift, as it means two flights will have dom during the event rather than one.

Many of those people wouldn't be able to take Gryffs...

I just got something back from the site that I ordered in december... and I think I have longer orders out.

Everyone there is just like 'we will get it eventually... Hope the admin is okay!'
