Hey.

Edit 2/1/2023: A new small guideline that has been added to the rules- please include direct links to profiles, especially if the user in question is being shady, since they go 'invisible' when FR locks/bans them.

(It's not mandatory, but it helps folks get those juicy details.)

Do we really need more of these? Even call-out posts feel kind of redundant. I never feel like call-out posts even do much. It's much healthier to approach users with shitty mindsets one-on-one, and even if they don't change... report them to mods and block them? How many of us have that one family member who says weird, bigoted shit that everyone just ignores? We should be vigilant and speak out about behaviours we see, either publicly or to the person in DM. But the roundabout way of anon discussion on drama sites just feels slimy. It rarely leads to healthy accountability too, and instead of allowing for growth it's just the dog-pile of the week. It consistently leads to disproportionate reactions for what is mostly mild transgressions. (Most recent one that comes to mind for me being the whole copied bbc code, yeah it was a bit rude and annoying but damn if the reactions weren't overblown.)

What needs does another drama blog cover? What exactly, as a community, are we missing?

I think your rules are solid and what you intend to do for moderation seems to be pretty decent. I'm just rolling my eyes that for a community this fucking small we already have 3 established anon communities. I swear League of fucking Legends probably has less.

💯 It flattens types of harm/conflict. Someone who made a dumb comment or did something mildly shitty is now the same as an actual bigot who must be ostracized.
