They're a name I recognize as having bought characters from before, so I'm not sure if maybe I meant to send a CR or PM one day and accidentally hit block instead (seems unlikely, but not impossible in a sleep-fatigued state), or whether they've done some shady shit??

(Please note: I'm not saying they've done anything; it's entirely possible this is user error on my part! Please do not take this as an accusation of any sort! I'm literally trying to figure out if there was something I blocked them for or whether it was unintentional.)

sorry y'alls but i am sick of seeing this dragon & OP's weird hangwringing, especially since they've pinged oldies collector's lists SO many times trying to sell him at wild prices (alongside all their other overpriced dragons)

the thread was created mid-July, with the 1415th scatter on this dragon. as of now, the beginning of August, we're on scatter #1700. @ 350g a pop, that's 100,000g worth of scatters in less than a month.
where is all that money coming from? usually i would guess UMA sales, but all three art shops linked in their signature are years-old & desolate.

I wish I had thought to archive the thread when I replied to it. Damn it! Now it's gone forever. I'll try to recap what it was, though.

So a user named GhostCollective posted a thread to FRD titled "mildly anarchist shenanigans" that started with a BIG disclaimer about how capitalism is evil and how anyone who disagrees with them is a centrist. Very passive aggressive. The disclaimer included something like "staff if you're going to ban me for this, give me a 5 day warning I have people's dragons in my nest." Then the rest of the post is a big long rant about how expensive Sandsurges are, about how it's terrible that the people with the money get the dragons first and set high prices for the hatchlings. I didn't read all of it because it was whiney and unpleasant. In the replies, GhostCollective told someone something along the lines of "it's not my fault if people start arguing about politics here."

Half of the replies were debating the Sansurge market, which were very long and very uninteresting to me, and the other half were "what did I just walk into" or "I thought this said arcanist, what the heck."

Just a few days earlier, I had a pleasant interaction with GhostCollective in DMs where they asked if they could add me as a friend. (This is definitely de-anoning me, but I'll bite the bullet for the sake of sharing this story.) I said sure, and we added each other. So, when I saw that this timebomb of a thread was posted by my new friend, I felt somewhat disgusted! So, I posted a reply, and it went something like this:

"ghostcollective I don't want to be friends with someone who brings politics to FRD right out of the gate. You're smart enough to know this is a bad idea. I daresay that you included that disclaimer at the beginning of your post and later said "it's not my fault if people fight about politics" with the intent to start a fight."

Then I blocked them. This is the part where I wished I had archived it, because that's the last time I saw the thread!

ik this is years old but it's been bothering me for so long and i just want to know what happened, why was happywing (owner of the only xxx g1 permabab imp, zeus) banned? i heard conflicting reports that the imp (unbred, level 25 with baldwin battlestones, xxx gold with full gem genes and matching eyes, permabab) was genned, or that the dragon was legit but its imp scroll was genned, or that it was legit but stolen, and that's not to mention what happened to happywing themselves. they had another g1 imp but it was triple basic xyz, and they often bought and sold KS items. i've heard they were a bm/rmt, that they were used as a middleman/storage account for bm/rmt, that they were an innocent user who bought bm items so much they were banned in the crossfire, or that they associated with bad people. been bugging me for years, i just HAVE to know what happened.

i'll admit, it gives me a bit of a chuckle when i see someone posting on a thread without realizing they've been blocked by OP. but with this one i'm scratching my head, because there's the added detail of having this image (https://imgur.com/p6HdX9V) as their signature - a screenshot of a clicked-to-highlight text file called "people who have me blocked.txt"

here's the post where i noticed (https://www1.flightrising.com/forums/baz/3255404/3#post_54700794) - it's from a month ago but came up as part of a thread advertising some still-overpriced oldies that was back on the front page of the dragon sales forum, lol. the text, written by @/okurimono, reads "hey, i can't seem to view your dragons at all? i was interested in checking some out."

Stumbled upon their lair by accident while clicking on featured dragons - they have me blocked but I genuinely don't know who the hell this is. Apparently, according a friend who isn't blocked, their bio reads "PNIB? DNI. I don't give narcissists attention." and I have no fucking clue what PNIB means.

My guess is "pronouns in bio"? Is this person madge enough to randomly block people who... have pronouns?

Anyone knows?

(to clarify: I don't give a shit that I was blocked by a random user, as I do the same now and then - I just am iffy if this person is blocking people for having pronouns in bio, because that's the sort of behavior I'd expect from a twitter bigot or troll)
