I believe you are talking about Khimeros and its owner, Onyx.

I could be misremembering, but I thought that she went to FR to offer rare/impossible to find items, such as gen 1 imps, to artists to get them to draw assets for Khimeros.

Since I had quit Khimeros by that point I don't know if cross site trading is allowed or not, and it could be something else that you are talking about.

Onyx was hatching a scheme to get people to spend holy matrimony USD on Khimeros currency, to pay for her G1 imps and whatever else KS related or rare entities she was selling. This was essentially a loophole to get people to pay USD to her for her FR stuff, because she's the one that recieves most or all of the RLC earnings from Khimeros.

FR staff eventually had enough of it and banned her not that long ago. Good riddance I heard that was a nasty person to interact with.

Ah, thanks, as I said, I only heard the surface of it, and didn't really look into it.

And yeah, she is the sole owner of khimeros (from what I have heard) and there aren't any artists working directly for Khimeros (or coders etc... that was one reason why khimeros never had an feature update, I saw something about onyx talking about being able to buy assets to turn into art for the site, or hiring a coder, and I guess she didn't want to give up enough power to hire a coder) just people doing the 'custom items'.

To your point, I'm not sure if she was also trying to get art slaves on FR, but there was a rumor going around that she refused to pay artists who made pieces for her Khimeros site. So she has definitely tried to get free labor out of talented people before.

Thanks, yeah, I tried khimeros, and I loved the art style (mainly because the same artists who orignially worked on Khimeros also worked on a different site I liked), and the actual site wasn't bad, but couldn't take the chat, and did get some vibes from onyx I didn't like.
