I knew a player who used to make over 10kg/day (more specifically treasure) by running a bot that did g&g hard mode across like 150 accounts and it was CRAZY. They could legit make 300kg in a month. They'd occasionally gift me a few thousand gems which was nice I guess. But they got banned in the wildest way and stopped playing a while ago. It doesn't look like many people knew about this so I've been considering dropping their name. I'm afraid they'll see this and know who I am though (I still talk to them)

I'm sure they're not the only ones doing this. I knew somebody too who made their money this way along with creating dozens of accounts. Whenever I see casual players amass and incredible amount of wealth out of nowhere in a short period of time, and they give evidence as to not being irl money spenders, I always get suspicious.

I think ThistleProse could have worded their responses a lot better, but I can understand the frustration considering 20-60g increments doesn't strike me as unreasonable and jejune didn't give a minimum increase or an example of what they'd consider reasonable. And a higher MI doesn't necessarily mean the bids will come less frequently, which is jejune's justification for the change.

Eh, that's not how I read that part of her comment:

idk this seems like an “everybody sucks here” situation. I think ThistleProse was being inflammatory by saying “my knee-jerk response was relief that I wasn't the highest bidder 'cause I didn't wanna fund a sour-sud x.x <3” but I also think jejune was getting unreasonably ticked off for getting pings. They subscribed to the thread so it’s weird to complain that the thread subscription feature is working as intended. The bidders didn’t know jejune was subscribed because nothing was said about it anywhere.

Uuuh. I have good reason to believe somebody is tracing an art piece (a well known one at that) and passing it off as their own design. What's the procedure for reporting them, if no off-site links (that show the traced piece of art) are allowed in the ticket?

They're looking to buy any and all familiars from Blooming Grove (hoardsell value: 2000t) to Forbidden Portal (hoardsell value: 2940t) for a flat rate of 2g each. Which... eh... it would have been nice to make a note of those hoardsell values in the top post for anyone who might not be aware of them (especially new players who could really use the extra treasure), but whatever. Maybe some players just really want gems instead of treasure, and can't be fussed to hoardsell and then convert the currency themselves. Information was omitted but not misrepresented... right?

NOPE. Turns out someone did try to point out the hoardsell values, and Weide deflected, played dumb, and straight-up lied about the values (claiming that the highest one is 2300t):

I'm not sure if what they're doing is explicitly forbidden by site rules, but it's scummy as hell. There are so many ways to make money in this game (especially during NotN!) that don't involve essentially scamming newbies. Just... ick. :(

It's the same person who's sold gem items at inflated prices in the past and lists Rainbow Sprites like they're Water so I'm not surprised... He always does scummy shit that's not forbidden by the rules but is still, well, scummy.

That comment about 2300t might not have been a lie tho, people sometimes list fams that low (even 1g ea) but they don't stay on the AH for too long for obvious reasons.

Almost bought one of this person's listings a while ago because I wasn't on the lookout for a rainbow sprite scam in the year 2024 :/ easy block from me.

From what I can recall, they also used to sell gem genes above MP price at round numbers on the AH, but stopped once people started listing at the gem mp price specifically to stop scammers like that.

This is such a baby complaint, but I really wanted to sit down yesterday evening and grind one last time to get some extra chests. Unfortunately some IRL stuff came up and I had to help my family until I collapsed on the bed and passed out.

Idk why I really feel like I missed out now. It's very bitter, and yes I know it's pretty childish. On the plus side, so far I've had fantastic luck opening bought chests. Like egg in almost every dozen of them, and a couple of twegg/thregg ones to compensate for the few without eggs C: So at least I can sell those eggs later at a profit!
