First time seeing and posting in this forum place. Decided to look for a post regarding this to respond properly and with a clearer mind, and yeah, I did deserve to get shit on for that.
I'm Saethuryx, and I just kinda decided to get the sprites for my dragons (and for the hell of it) a while back. At some point last October or so, it kinda warped my mindset from something I was grinding for fun to an obsession that was actually unhealthy. So when I kept seeing the "re-releasing sprites and other retired items" sentiment and saw people who were very vocal about wanting them re-released, I misinterpreted that as a personal attack when it was literally just a case of people without the same level of time wanting a fair shot at them.
I did some thinking and found that I should've just let it go a long while ago, long before it got to this point. I ended up giving my sprites away so that I don't feel like I have any attachment to the issue anymore and to go back to what I actually play FR for. I don't expect that to somehow excuse what I said, but all I can do right now is say that I'm sorry about what I caused. I'm not going to be screwing with the market and I'm not going to assume that the community is against me when it's actually my own attitude that would've caused that.
Your sprite ownership status is whatever. The fact that you say you gave them away is irrelevant because the sprites themselves weren't the thing that made you a spectacle.
I don't know how you got personal attacks out of statements made about game mechanics by people who didn't even know you exist, but I hope you're doing more about it than just thinking. That shit requires Olympic level logic leaps and paranoia to match. Even now you're focused on the community hivemind boogeyman, meanwhile this thread was dead for two days before your post.
This was some truly low-stakes drama in the first place and this is a salt comm for a dragon pet site so that's saying something.
