Staff shouldn’t have ever allowed them to come back they are such a fucking lunatic.

Am I the only one getting tired of hearing about Lorwolf going into beta and its honestly boring wolves? And they didn't even give it a unique tag to make it avoidable on the saltmine. I don't fucking care. I am there for Flight rising salt, not dogs on a site that may have vaguely similar emblems for concepts to FR.
Do you all see Dominance as we know it ever truly changing?
(Anonymous) 2022-02-03 06:47 pm (UTC)(link)All this talk about who wants what out of Dom, and knowing that the staff have it on their list of things to rework, do you think the Dom of today will ever change into something truly different? Worse? Better?

Petty reasons to block people? Spite-naming? Forbidden headcanon? Dressing a dragon in the ugliest possible way?

I BLOCK anyone whose listings take up more than the first 2 pages of the AH, especially if:
- breaking up stacks to shave the tiniest fraction of cost over the next lowest seller
- starving dragons at the same price as the next lowest seller

Idk how much wind has saved up for this battle but I know lightning has BANK lol
I thought it was boring again that just got shifted.

new genes! new familiars! the devs aren’t punishing people for solo play via the “notes relinquishing” feature any more! (instead you can turn in your notes for additional digging tools)
training up a new trio the old fashioned way (its a challenge thing bc i hate myself) and im in the scorched forest and beating up rambras got me nostalgic for the early days of the site and battling with my progens and a random underleveled third dragon. thinking about gifting my extra autumn dryad from the woodland path to someone just because they liked dryads and didnt have one yet
looks at red breasted hainu... looks at red winged owlcats.. remembers when i coveted them... where have the days gone :(
...and why they would?
I bring this up because I sell a lot of pricey stuff on the AH and tend to refresh FR like crazy through out the day out of habit and wonder if anyone ever reported me as like an AH bot or something due to how fast my restocking can be. lmao

I wouldn't report but I have blocked people for being annoying on the AH
Did you know we can't choose to reset plots? It's so annoying and adds even more RNG to the game

If they didn't, everyone would refuse to claim familiar plots to guarantee picks would hit genes and apparel
Like, that's not a thing, right? Or is it a thing, and I'm just dumb and can't find it?
Something where I can tell the system "this dragon does not coli, please don't have it show up in my list."
I know it's been requested before, but...
Look, I'm the same anon that only realized recently that you can highlight dragons in your lair that are eligible for the daily exalt bonus without having to manually check each dragon. I figure if it's available, it's 100% possible I'm just stupid. |D

I’m pretty sure dragons in your hib den aren’t able to coli, so putting them in there should keep them out of the coli option.
Otherwise, I think the only way to lock a dragon out of it are juvenile or perma-baby dragons.

I just sent 8 research notes to the guild and got just one magnifying glass in return lmao
From what I've seen in the forums, the turn-in action always results exactly one tool. Presumably whichever you're hoping for (pickaxe or magnifier) you get the other.
I wonder whether the rolls for each individual pickaxe/shared note are equally weighted across all uncovered plots for the entire digsite - or if it rolls 1-16 to see which plot gets worked on then rolls for squares within that plot.
Going by how seldom my closest-to-completed plot gets hit (one of the fams - I used a bunch of magnifying glasses on it the first couple days before it became clear that wasn't strategically ideal), I'm guessing the former. If they shifted it to the latter - and let the userbase know about it - I think it would ease some of the frustration the feature seems to be causing, particularly on the topic of forced-reset plots. (A just-completed and now completely uncovered plot is much more likely to get hit than one you're three squares away from finishing, by the former method, whereas by the latter it wouldn't have as big an impact.)

We got another spare inventory crate scam. Trying to sell them for nearly double what they are LAH. If I wasn't a coward, I would call them out. Their also buying broken bottles for 10x less than LAH.

This is just bizarre sales strategy, stacks of 99 for eggs and NotN chests worked, but were slightly more expensive than buying one by one, why do they think double will sell... Their dragon sale prices are even more bizarre or there's something about those dragons that I'm not seeing.

Props to this user for putting into words the whole 'dancing around everyone's opinion of friending etiquette is mentally and emotionally draining' thing. I spend enough energy on things like that IRL where there's actually greater-scale benefit to it, and rarely have enough left over to do it on FR these days. Similarly, I appreciate their point that the venn diagram of people who feel that way and people who are reluctant to actively post to complain about it probably has significant overlap (I'm currently shame-spiraling because I've got queries to an offline service thread and PMs about buying dragons and whatnot pending from before the holidays that have piled up high enough that I just can't bring myself to plow through them, and I feel too guilty about that to be seen hopping around on suggestions threads and seeming even more inconsiderate to anyone who hasn't just given up on me by now).
(It's also low-key irking that going by the history of issues that create as much furor as this one, we might not be too far off from a walk-back that allows for the sending of notes to random users and/or ups the reward ratio for turn-ins. So I'm currently sitting on a lot of notes in hopes of being able to do something more satisfying with them than is currently possible, but if there's no change, I and others doing the same will have lost out on plots we could have been uncovering sooner, while if it is changed, there'll be a shitstorm from people who did turn their notes in as they went and have now effectively been cheated, and I hate seeing that kind of bickering.)

I wonder if that's why I got three random friend requests lately - I reject them without much thought, but I wonder if there are people who are, well, too nice to do that and accept those 'arlo friend parasites'?
Ok it alived again I was worried cause I have a tendency to accidentally log in whenever there's unscheduled maintainence going on
when did Gaia step down as a mod? why did she leave?
A while ago, during eye apocalypse 2.0 (release of vials)
I remember Gaia was pretty pissed over scatters tanking in value, lol. Might be related to that.

Fuck I forgot I had to do something before rollover because I went to a party. Anyone else relate?
anyone got solid guidelines on what you can get away with on tinting lineart/shadows? i had a friend with super cool skin/accent in trickmurk that didnt make it to winning circle and im pretty sure it's because it was rulebreaking on that front but i don't have evidence to show my friend
(yes yes could be other reasons too but there was big interest so he's gonna print it and I dont want him being hit with rejection right out the skin queue you know?)

Staff doesn't consider lines and shadows for fest entries as long as you've made an effort. Proof here.

just realized that the level cap on arlo is currently 2. that's kind of lame. :/
You can only level to 2 or you can't level past completing 2? I'm almost at the former benchmark but not quite.
Eh, though. I wasn't around for Baldwin's inception, so I don't know how much of a ceiling there was originally on leveling, but that's also kind of different in that individual items can be sporadically released at any level, where new Arlo digsites are going to need to be an entire set of things (maybe not always 16, but I doubt there'll be fewer than 10). So if they make it possible to zoom up to super-high levels, there will be complaints that there's nothing to do at those levels.
Presumably minimal Arlo-ing as new digsites are released (especially under the current RNG paradigm) to obtain all the new stuff will be sufficient to level up to new cap raises at that time; seems like only people who join after it's been established a couple years or so who will have to hustle to catch up and get newer things.
Of course, I could be wrong and there'll eventually be new digsites released at the same time the level needed to reach them is uncapped for, so everyone will need to re-grind previous digsites to get enough XP for it ASAP (and we'll regret not saving our mustered tools), but I don't think that's ever been a thing for Baldwin or gathering and I doubt we'll see it here.

Hibernal Den unlocks to utilize duplicate items from Arlo's first dig site, Thunder Lizards, have been added!
Nice.

Yeah, that'll stem the tide of useless duplicates a bit.
Can't believe there are over 4500 users. But apparently 1700 of them are guests. I know it's a festival but its seems weird. Do you think FR is really that popular or is it a blip?
Guests are users set to invisible afaik. Doesn't seem odd to me once you dig up stats on things like dragons hatched per day. It spikes way higher than that for the start of big events like anniversary.
unblocking and blocking a user so I can relist my items lower than them (bc they literally undercut you by like 10k on a 30k item within minutes of anyone listing lower than them) 💖💖
that kind of shit always makes me wonder if they've got some bot/script running, or are they really that chronically on fr that they frequently check each listing to see if they've been undercut.
unless there's a way to search in the AH for more than one specific item name, i don't see how they're checking without pulling up the individual listings for each specific item

dang, did we really go through almost the whole festival w/o a thread here? or am I just really dumb skgnfdk
anyways, what's everyone's thoughts? love the familiar, the apparel is okay, pleasantly surprised by how many of the skins I love

It's... ok, I guess? Apparel is alright, familiar is ok, skins are cool but mostly cater to breeds/poses I personally don't collect (not salt at all just not my cup of tea). Not really too much to say about it either positively or negatively imo - no weirdness but nothing groundbreaking either.
