I'm not gonna lie, when I go on a "Featured Dragon" binge and let every owner know their baby was on the front page over the span of like 30 minutes I never take the time to read profiles. I just assume everyone wants to know their dragon was in the spotlight, oops
I've never felt like there was any pressure to respond to "your dragon was on the front page" messages. Not saying that someone else might not feel pressure for whatever reason, but it doesn't seem like an expectation among the userbase at large.
NAYRT I think part of the issue with front page dragon posts is that it creates a notification. Which means they have to check, and for people with anxiety, or who might be waiting for something else that will create a notification, causes issues.
I know there have been times when something has been going on, and when the phone would ring I would feel my stomach jump, even if I KNEW that it had nothing to do with what was going on, but my brain still said 'oh no, something happened'.
It can be the same for random notifications. You (general you) KNOW that it is something innocuous, but your brain still gives you that little jolt.
Nope, in fact if you ever look at suggestions involving making the Feature Dragon limited to active lairs you will normally find people speaking up who don't want those messages and some who wish they could toggle their lair off to being shared there.
