My friend came back to FR after 5 years of hiatus, and is still getting used to how the economy works now.
Fauxied sold them a white/rose/rose aberration for a plague sprite- thing is, it's completely ungened, only a month old, and isn't a G1. My friend used the database instead of the AH- and misread the comments as saying the sprite was going for 8k T and not G, so made the trade.
I wish my friend had asked before doing this deal, and though they're taken aback by how they were taken advantage of, they still have one plague sprite left, but I'm kinda peeved. At MOST, the dragon they gave them was worth 300g- cost of a clanbound scroll
Part of me wants to contact them and tell them they made a VASTLY unfair trade, but it wasn't my transaction.
So I'm just naming and shaming here, because Fauxied knew what they were doing, and it's shitty.
Seeing as fauxied was selling aberrations for like 60kt on the forums, how exactly did they get to your friend, and how did sprite came into play? Did they just randomly PM your friend offering a random dragon without any prior contact? Via Discord, where nobody stepped in saying sprite is worth more?

Reversing the trade and apologizing for not looking up information (much like your friend, who also should have done their research) goes a long way in my book.
Yeah I fully admit I jumped the gun a bit here, it just struck me as scummy bc when my friend asked what they wanted for the dragon, their first reply was 2013 fams or familiars, so they knew what it was worth.
I'm going to be digging up some guides and such for my friend so they can catch up and not have this happen again.
They're not sorry, they're just sorry they got caught and want you to shut up and go away. Honestly, they deserve the calle out and the bad taste is reasonable.
Just think about this: If you hadn't spoke up, they would have walked away with getting a sprite for one step above fodder.

They gave the sprite back to my friend in a PM with a similar response to my friend- along with 100kt??
"you can give the dragon back if you want..i didnt mean to make you uncomfy or make you anxious" was the extra line in their PM.
I thanked them for getting back to me, and was cordial- but to me, this smacks of "Shit, I was called out."
So it's resolved, but still left a bad taste in my mouth.
