Yes, play however, not actually a capitalism simulator. I don’t care. I personally support the reintroduction of sprites as being purchasable from the hecking achievements shop just to duck with her. And I say that as someone who owns a light sprite and paid out the nose for it.

After someone posted a screenshot of their 200kg Light Sprite listing, they went and relisted it for 200,001g. This after insisting that they're completely innocent of the whole buying to relist for higher, market inflation of the Light Sprites.

What's with the vitriol? Specifically the calls for staff to ban her and make "purposeful" price inflating against the rules? The comparisons to irl laws as if that has anything at all to do with a pixel game economy? Frustration is understandable but the desire to have this user chased/forced off the site is not.

Yeah this is an annoying situation, and she's acting annoying about it, but it also seems like she's getting a lot of harassment and callouts and over this which is going way overboard. No one had to pay to back the site for a Light Sprite, and no one should be expected to shell out similar amounts to a Kickstarter familiar if they choose to get one now. Year 1 items, no matter how rare, are not Kickstarter exclusives.

She seems to have a history of inserting herself when people are upset or wondering what's going on with the Light Sprite prices - in ways that are disingenuous at best and goading at worst. Yesterday's thread was just another example. Getting vitriol seems to be the point, to the level that these exchanges she has follow a DARVO equation where she tries to make everyone else out to be crazy.

This kind of deliberate market inflation (not to mention toxicity) is behavior that gets people banned on comparable pet sites. If you want to believe she's innocent, go for it. I can't make you not fall for DARVO. All I can do is point out that this is the recurring trend she does of her own volition.

there's a pattern of behavior of her inserting herself into any discussions of the light sprite situation to make her look like the victim for years so i'd say the vitriol is self-inflicted at this point. it would've been easy for her to just keep a low profile about this whole thing but no, she repeatedly chooses not to do that.

for the record, i don't think she deserves to get banned or chased off the site as what she did is ultimately not against the rules, despite it being really annoying. but i don't think the general disdain over her behavior and discontent over the light sprite inflation situation is unwarranted. i can only hope that staff decides to remedy the situation by increasing the supply of light sprites, and probably all y1 fest items, through more than roundsey so it's harder for ONE person or group of friends to manipulate prices.

Idk about you anon but encouraging this sort of behavior on what is a silly dragon pet sim is pretty stupid. Despite this just being a game, it has an economy which people will always draw real world comparisons to. That's just the way it will always be. Imo someone specifically targeting an item and trying to get the price increased is a really shitty thing to do and yes they deserve to have some action taken against them for it.

That being said I don't condone anyone harassing anyone directly in any situation, that I can definitely agree is overboard if that is happening. I find it funny that you come on here and say we can't keep our feelings in check when you are getting all up in arms to defend them? Clearly you also have very strong feelings about this as well. I'm sure you can see where the frustration stems from on this issue if you read this entire thread, especially because Elisabluh's attitude is just terrible about the topic and doesn't help her own case in the slightest.

Considering your replies to a previous anon, I don't know if this will do anything, but here is my pov.

A year 1 item has been inflated to higher than kickstarter items, and not only has Elisabluh been causing it, she keeps jumping into threads to gloat and troll. The vitriol is caused by shit like going into threads to gaslight people into believing this was a natural price increase and posting shit like "no support, lol" on threads of folks discussing a suggestion to put year 1 items out again. If she would stfu, the anger would just be simmering. She drives it to the boiling point.

She rubs it in. It feels like she enjoys that she can completely wipe out the ability to buy a light sprite by buying out all auctions.

I will be honest, I'm not calling for banning her. I'm calling for rereleasing the item in a rare way, like joxboxes.(which would hurt the market for items I own. This is not an "I want a light sprite" take) Because with a ban, her hoard gets removed from the game and we don't know how many she bought to corner the market.

But yea, other games do ban for this. It's not unreasonable to call for it. Or to be angry at her for it.

Idk if anyone saw but someone in FRD made a poll on what suggestions people wanted to see in the game and results came out recently, #1 on the list being to un-retire y1 fest items. I wonder if staff bothered to check that out(I would if I was them but yanno), and if that + all this yapping in FRD and PVP would make them get off their asses and put everything in JoxBox

Cursed counterproposal: FR devs get so sick of light Sprite discourse that all the sprites are taken away, including players who already have them, and replaced with the Joxar recolours. The OG sprites can now only be awakened through Fiona.

Someone also tallied responses in the Y1 Joxbox thread and it’s something like 90+% of players support it, too!
Granted, there could be problems with this data (are players who agree more likely to post? are players who use the forums and specifically suggestion forums more likely to weigh in one way or the other?) but it’s overall pretty interesting to see.
Especially notable is the kickstarter backers and year 1 players almost exclusively supporting it!

I know that there’s someone who jacks Water Sprite prices as well (or used to at least), it’s what made them jump from 2kg to 7kg but they’ve steadily gone back down because there’s much more supply than light sprites

So it’s far from an isolated case (unfortunately)
