Hello, it is Pessi once again, sorry it has taken me a bit to get back with yall.
A little bit ago I made a post mentioning that me, OOF dom team members, and fellow embers were all discussing how to change course for Fire Dom, and that i'd follow up with you all here regarding this. Things were discussed such as new organization, a complete reform to how the team operates, and discussion of our current lead stepping down due to their periodic absences due to irl reasons during important times when we've needed them... Newer members such as me, and a few others were for the idea. While the rest of the team seemed for the other two ideas brought to them, the idea of duchess stepping down entirely didn't seem to agree on them, rather, they wanted her to stay on the team, just not have the role as a lead.
While initially this seemed ok to roll with, when Duchess eventually reappeared (albeit briefly), there was only a mention of her having more of her responsibilities taken up, rather than the aforementioned having her step down as a lead. Additionally, I was offput by a message from one of the members (not listing who), stating I did not care about the team's opinions, for not having private channels for the team. Keep in mind, the "server" was basically a larger group chat so that us, embers, and OOF Dom team members to share the current state of FireDom and take advice on how to improve on it. This message was also sent to me right after I had invited a particular user who had left fire into the server, who had on-going issues regarding FireDom that lead to them leaving.
Another question that I am sure a lot of you are wondering is the cancellation of WvF. While me and the team were discussing things, OOF Dom Team members brought up the fact that we are very unprepared for a battle with Water. Water gave Earth a run for their money last battle, and considering how underprepared we were, a fight with Water would mean a certain curbstomp and unfun fight for both parties. Water has been prepping ever since the fight was announced- and we had nothing. Not only would we be possibly trying to reform the team and reorganize, but we would also be rushing assets, events, etc in only 2 months. Due to this, I had informed the Water flight that we needed to cancel the fight. That being said, thank you Ice for stepping in, water deserves a fight especially with all of the hard work they have put into planning and assets. To embers, I am sincerely sorry that the announcement about the cancellation of the fight was delayed to you. We were in the process of brainstorming the announcement when the announcement from Water was leaked into FRC. Please know that we had no intentions of withholding this information from you all- despite previous communication issues with the flight.
Continuing to the second paragraph I had typed here, I will not be mentioning names, but a lot of this had left a very poor taste in my mouth, not including the many grievances already shared here by others that I also have with the AA. With all things considered, I had returned the attending funds to one of the bank holders, and today eventually announced at 4:52 PM EST that I was leaving AA due to creative differences. 6 PM- No response... 8 PM- activity in a different channel, but yet again, no response. At this point, at 8:23 PM, I had left the AA server. I wish no ill-will to AA, but I no longer feel comfortable working with them due to these reasons.
Posted the same thing here in Fire's Discord so that embers are aware of this as well.
As a droplet? Yeah I am glad fire dropped out. You guys need good leadership and I am really sorry to see you give up pessi. You tried and you will always have my respect. Plz take care of yourself and good luck with your irl stuff!
RIP firedom. You did all you could, Pessi. Why they even want to keep a useless dom lead is beyond me. Seems like the rot from the top is pretty deep-seated.
First of all, wtf are "OOF dom team members", that's not a thing. Secondly, good job for trying and condolences for the outcome, hope everything works out for you.
OOF dom leads most likely means the other flights' dom leads. There is a dom leader Discord that exists, from my understanding. These people know what a battle takes because they've all done it.
Sorry it went so poorly. I hate adding to my list of Flights to not support, but this makes it irreversibly on there with lightning. Your former team is a toxic lot that didn't deserve you. And I'll be honest, I kind of hope Dutchess gets banned for something and they lose the "bank". It'd serve them right.
At any rate, if you ever want to get away from the toxic mess that is your flight, I'm sure other flights would welcome you. Find a new home where you would be appreciated. You deserve better.
And for the people saying start a second team in fire? It's ridiculous. Because they will just take credit for everything you do that wins and blame all losses on you dividing the resources.
Ouch, sorry to hear it turned out like this. At least you tried, and I think that's all that can be reasonably expected of you. Best of luck to Fire Dom, it sounds like they're going to need a lot of it to sort out their issues.
I'm sorry this happened to you. no idea why they want to keep her in charge of everything when, time and time again, she steps out on everyone when she's needed. it seems clear enough to me that letting her continue the way she has is not doing the flight any favors, so I can't imagine any reason for just choosing to not fix anything other than worries over duchess' or flight members' reactions (or both).
I DO wonder if there's genuine fear that she'd just take the dom funds with her if anyone tells her to get out. don't know if it's been brought up in this board recently and I'm being pedantic by saying it, but, yeah.
There was concern over her possibly dipping entirely, but the sheets we have are very... well, janky. And she does not own *all* of the funds but a portionable amount. Either way though, if she decided to dip entirely it isn't anything we couldn't rebuild.
As far as flight member's reactions, possibly some would be worried if they are newer to FireDom, but a lot of embers it seems have very mixed feelings about the AA lead anyways so...?
they didn't even want to remove ducchess from the team? what was the excuse she gave when she came back? and how did she take the news of wvf cancellation?

In response to the reply to this, she did not acknowledge the cancellation of the battle either.
I really disliked FireDom before but now this is the last nail in the coffin for me. AA members are delusional if they think there's any way forward that is positive with Duchess still as part of the team.
Pessi, I'm really sorry your words have fallen on deaf ears. You did all you could, but you can't change those that don't want to be changed. Let FireDom implode from their own delusion and stubborness; I'm sure your time will be better used elsewhere, and if you ever decide to switch flights I'm positive you'll be welcomed.
That said, I'm never again supporting fire, or at least until some actual change happens in their ranks (which, at this point, seems impossible). The way I see it, no amount of "restructuring" will fix what's wrong with the team, and they're doomed to fail again and again. The team will eventually implode for real and embers will end up paying the price for the leads that refuse to accept any sort of meaningful change

I was an ember when things got real murky in fire. I watched people leave in large numbers after duchess dipped on a push the same way she did this.
I wanted to stay loyal to fire but I can't with her involved. I donated 30 boss familiars and they never made it to the spreadsheet. Stone borer, frost deliver, overcharged silverbeast to name a few. I made specific notes in the PM this wasn't for her but for firedom. They never got used or listed. I am blocked, can't message her and I got booted from the fire discord she runs too. I am in water now. Highly recommen pessi!!! Let fire die
Um.. Pessi here. Just want to apologize for the above. I again, did not know the tweets were regarding Eurovision nor do I really know what Eurovision is. And I apologize for derailing the topic. I thought it was a point of concern. I am admittedly very frustrated about the situation and I apologize if I came off as aggressive in the replies as well.
Uhhh, I actually kind of agree that you should have kept some of that in a private channel. I think that dom teams should get to work their stuff out in a private place out of the view of their non-dom members and OOFers. Little things like that comment, posting Duchess’s non-public statement (that potentially has personal medical information?), and then leaving the team and starting to go dig for extra drama is kinda putting me off of trusting you as an information source about all of this. Like, obviously there need to be drastic changes in Firedom yesterday, but big blow-ups in drama tend to make these things harder and not easier, and a team has got to come together and work on a solution. Not getting a private space to discuss these issues and facing information leaks from one of their team members sounds like a pretty bad start tbh. I don’t think you’re bad for trying to up the communication between the flight and the team or anything, but I really can’t 100% agree with how this has gone down.

Remember, the details are not all from Pessi. Multiple folks have said the same damn thing over a long period of time. You do not get where Dutchess is by being a dick. You get there by being able to put on a personable front that convinces others to defend you because "you couldn't have stolen all those boss fams donated from that user and never recorded it. You're too nice." "You had medical issues, so disappearing without a word when there's work to do is fine."
Do not let Pessi being dumb make you decide Dutchess is squeaky clean. She comes across as a petty manipulator and thief from the info I've seen.
To Pessi and those discussing her personal social media, you should be fucking ashamed of yourselves. Go out and touch grass. Unless she posted something actually illegal or relevant, keep it off here.
While I wouldn't really want someone that wants social media background checking in my dom team, I want Dutchess's kind even less.
