honestly living for this XXX gold drama. would love to talk to the person who bought the account just to find out whyyyyyyy
tbf the drama isn't so much about the triple gold as it's about the fact Obelisks was sold via rmt.
Since there's no chance to post this in forums... I love the flight I chose, never even vacationed, the aesthetics are on point, love my flight eyes and everything FR-official about it! But I grew to fucking hate the flight community, both dom and not dom. Every time someone pings me in my flight forums or I look into flight discords, I am disappointed at best (and then I get angry because that disappointment taints the love I feel for the aesthetics). I am not sure what to do, thoughts?

I started in Plague because I adored it- the eyes, the lore, the aesthetics, Plaguebringer, all of it.
The discord was great- until people given admim/mod privileges became trigger happy. Dom became more of a militant thing that caused a rift in the community, and people were getting strikes, even muted in discord if the mods didn't like what they were saying.
I ended up going to Shadow, because it was my second favouite aesthetic, lore, etc. I only dipped into the discord for a little bit, and it's actually pretty dead, so I dipped back out, and I now just quietly enjoy Shadow on my own.

i think the devs try to avoid bosses for the first 4 venues in order to ease the newbies into the battle system

okay before anyone gets on my case I'm not ATTACKING plague im fucking in plague myself specifically for the red eyes bc red eyes are my aesthetic. thats the only reason i dont participate in any culture shit.

id say plague is........... problematic, in canon. like. if they existed in real life their philosophy would not be Good. and that's fine! it's fun to RP things that aren't Good! but i notice so many people join plague and participate in the lore like, a little bit? but also totally erase any darker "negative" aspects for fear of looking like "bad guys" and honestly like... idk... if u want lore that isn't kinda cruel i dont think plague is ur place.
like, listen. people are like "plague would totally vaccinate!" and I don't think so, unless "vaccinate" here means "catch the full live disease on purpose, like a pox party" because... why would they believe in modern vaccines? either you're strong enough to survive the full disease itself, or you're "too weak" and unworthy. dead vaccines are cheating. that's supported by the creators, who once answered a question about plague dragons curing disease with a "why would they want to?" answer.
and you can take that to (pretty logically produced) extremes and figure out that plague just... isn't so nice for people who are more fragile in any way for any reason.
like. if you have mental health problems? well, get over them or die, i guess. :/ the strong don't need help, the worthy don't need help, the survivors don't need help
if you're immunocompromised in any way, plague just figures you're playing on hard mode. either survive every common cold you catch... or die.
and honestly that's kind of my problem with plague lore in general. it's always "live or die" and the thing is..... eventually one of these times its going to be "die". for all of us. no one actually is strong enough to survive forever.... so how long do you have to live, how many diseases conquered and fights won, before you've lead a successful life? eventually, are we all failures in the eyes of the plaguebringer? success fleeting, just a means to an end, with no individual value? like, that's kind of depressing and i don't hate it because I'M kind of depressing, but I feel like a lot of people erase these ideas because theyre like "no uwu <3 we're just like every other flight, we're Good(tm)"

HAHAHA? plant bros. just chillin. dudes. buds. nature in modern lore also seems a little xenophobic (i see you gladekeeper saying you dont want the "filth" of other flights) and like, kinda hermitty. they may have been expansionist once in the past but unable to beat the shit out of 10 other flights they're not really gaining ground anymore and instead are kind of like "screw you guys" and just... stay home. they probably don't care much about problems beyond their domain, because in their eyes thats everyone else's problem, and what they deserve for not succumbing to nature. like damn sorry about the famine, guys :/ if only you had listened to us... but alas... good luck though!

i love plague lore because they're awful like you say(though I disagree on full viral load vs vaccine, i think the lore is flexible on what we consider 'conquering' -> is it a physical response or can it also be cunning? dead/reduced viral load is survival by cunning and I think that works too) and that's why im there, my dragons are all horrible little creatures with an expansionist mindset. When I looked today there was one listed for 450g and the rest for closer to 500g. I'd probably say 500g. The person listing at 450g is either undercutting, couldn't sell it at 500g, or just wants it sold quickly.

honestly, i love items being stocked in alphabetical order, i would hate going back to only most recent order. getting booted to page 1 every time you buy is quite annoying tho :(

I've been getting a bit bored with my lair lately, but instead of doing a big clean out I decided my next project will be to re-gene a lot of my old level 25s. I have way too many iri/shim/something dragons, and with all the new genes that have come out since (I joined in '14), I'm so excited looking at the possibilities for them! I just have to figure out how to work it into my saving goals.

Not so much a start as a halfway mark, but I recently got my gem count back above where it was at the start of my flight's last battle, so now I can focus more on earning treasure. Earning gems without spending money to get them has been harder than ever, so I'm pleased that it took me less time than I thought it would to accomplish.
Maybe once I'm done saving, I should also look into regening some old G1s! I've got some older ones that might benefit from new genes, sounds like a fun way to spruce up my lair.

recently returned player hoping someone can fill me in. anyone else feel like the dragon market (particularly on the AH) is just stagnant if you're looking for anything but fodder? old dragons, gen1s with special colors/eyes, every niche market people find "rare" just lingers forever. no one undercuts, no one lowers prices to make a sale. i was trying to price some of my nicer dragons and people are quoting me AH prices but those dragons never seem to sell? what am I missing?
The AH is terrible for pricing. People will leave things up there for months in hopes someone will buy it or counteroffer via DM.
