Minor but not really salty, just crimes and curiosity: Anyone know of users who genuinely were banned for using scripts on site? Tis' the season and the thoughts are brewing after an unfortunate injury put my dominant hand out of commission. Been thinking about the built in IOS click-assist for familiar bonding but... crimes... SMR Has been talking about scripts more and more lately and I'm finally caving and looking into how risky it truly could be. (Obviously with banning being worst.) I feel like I hear a lot about it being against the rules but barely about users who have been caught using scripts.
i have reported someone that has been botting coli since the site began, is still botting coli, and provided logs of them admitting to me they bot the coli and in-depth how their bot works and they still aren't banned. if staff wont ban that guy, youll probably be fine
VALUE YOUR HEALTH OVER RULES. PLEASE. Use a macro that repeats your keystrokes + mouse movement for familiar bonding and the same for coli grinding, but set it fast enough so it's not always consistent. Just don't use the Baldwin script because that one is very obvious since it's a constant.
Genuine question because I'm a fool and don't know as much as I should about computers: Can staff even see mouse movement? I know for things like Captchas, mouse movement is often a component so I don't doubt that they can, but I'm curious!
unlikely. if they're monitoring anything, what they *are* probably monitoring is click rate (e.g., if you're clicking buttons WAY faster than a human user could), so doing some little QOL things with userscripts probably won't get you in trouble
(source: i make QOL userscripts for myself, use them all the time, have never gotten in trouble)

It's completely fine as long as you're not leaving your pc on to run it 24h a day. None of the scripts are distinguishable from dedicated players sitting there setting timers, and staff isn't going to notice or track this activity unless your account is already flagged for something like heavy-handed multiaccounting, in which case you're SoL with or without the script anyway.
