made an account. got the advent calendar pet and all the other ones. i now have four pages of pets that have to grow up. i am... confused. i feel simultaneously very old (what's happening what do i do what's the point of all of this am i old?? i must be old) and very young (i haven't seen a forum like this in yeeeeeeeeeears)
the RPG costume accessories are cute tho, and i like that there's space for adult conversations in the forums!
it's an adoptable website with a forum attached. the 'game' is collecting the pets, trading/dressing them, and interacting on the forums. they have occasional events like the summer event, but there's nothing else much to it. it's a very, very simple site that has hardly changed over the years, and it's almost like beanie baby collecting where they have no real use/game involved and the pets mostly sit in collections to look at.
there's a lot of sunk cost involved with players, and if you have original versions of the really rare pets (dec. 18th pets are valuable, but never as valuable as the ones with the original dates attached) or full sets of special themed pets for trade, you can get some serious offsite trading done with them. people will actually go feral for some.
yeah. i don't really actively play cs because sometimes i forget to do the monthly adoption thing, but dec 18th alone made me 20kg because i got an unreleased pet
