I'm planning to grind the coli familiars I'm missing over notn (long story, I'm stubborn and don't want to buy them) but I'm dreading getting to the frost/stone delvers. This thread in FRD has made me cautiously optimistic about a dragon that can consistently kill bosses.

So, has anyone tried this out? Is it a gimmick or does it actually work? Because I don't understand mage builds and they run like shit for me, amnd I'd appreciate something with a lot more consistency

What dragons do you have with it? Is it easy to use? I read the guide but I'm a little confused, is the 2 ambush or 1 ambush variant better? I'm trying to grind the venue in general and not just the bosses, I'm still missing the fams from its last update

i prefer the double ambush, but it works either way!

CLOBBER HAS A USE AT LVL 25 LET'S GOOOOOOO

Fun fact, Clobber used to have a 100% hit rate as long as it wasn't used twice in a row. That got changed when they updated the coli. It used to be SO useful, I miss it haha

Maybe it was changed again, but I personally stopped using it because I started to experience instances where the enemy dodged it, which made it far less useful to me. Would be cool if they changed it back, but I always thought the 100% hit rate was a bug and that the change after coli updated was them fixing it.

Oh, you mean dodging.
All enemies can dodge all attacks now, but it happens so rarely it doesn't seem to matter here.
You should try the build in the thread out yourself, I've experienced only one dodge and I just clobbered again since the build gives you so much breath and speed.

On page 8 they say You can keep going hitless in Golem Workshop forever if you start on a boss.

Sounds fun. You do need two other fighters though.

I assume they might not have enough gems for a new lvl 25 or to restat an old one.
I definitely want to give it a try, but not enough to pay 230g for a 25 off the auction house.
Not needing eliminate is a big plus though.

Ah mb I forgot about the whole price of getting lvl 25s. Just thought it was funny cause the build is otherwise dirt cheap and a video is so above and beyond what's normally posted in build guides.

okay, i saw people talking about this in the earthdom server so i got curious and tried this build myself. i am shocked. Not only does it work, it works well. easily the most satisfying boss kill I've ever had. i kept going after that, since both my fighters had enough breath to eliminate after scratching a golem to death, and the rest of the mobs are a breeze.

10/10 can't recommend giving this a shot enough, i don't grind outside of the mire often because it's such a pain, but this changed my life

Dang. I have a three-dragon team I've been slowly leveling up to 25, and I think I'll try this with them.

using this build to help level my lvl 19 in forbidden portal, 10/10 would recommend because he's pulling his own weight now. you can use it from very early on which is the best part of it imo. the only thing you need is a lot of speed and the int is just a secondary stat

I really appreciate you posting this - AR is the only place I get any FR news and I would have gone a decade without figuring this out.

Wanted to know if the hype was worth it, because at the time of me posting on AR the thread was mostly people saying they'd check it out
It's been a few days now and the last few pages are testimonials of the set working well, so looks like it wasn't just a gimmick build
