i used to feel bad for AC. they clearly have a lot going on mentally and irl. however... the more exposed i am to them i have trouble believing just about anything they say in relation to who's done them wrong, why they can't get state benefits, etc. i don't like thinking that someone is lying about these things, but given how they react to FR and other companies just doing their job, i have to wonder. like did you lose access to these things because you screamed and yelled at everyone and now no one wants to deal with you?

If they have time to write endless and page-long rants, they sure have the time to fill out online-surveys and earn with that cash on the side. There are many websites where you can fill out questionnaires and get with that visa and amazon gift cards, which you can use to buy food and stuff.
When I was still in uni I used to fill out surveys to make a little side cash and made with that around 100 to 300$ per month. It was a nice boost to my finances and I could even afford a nice thing for me once a while.
i thought similar when i saw those begging posts for money to pay for an art program. if you're 30-35 you really should know how to pirate at this point, and even if you don't it's so easy to learn. i don't personally have an issue with anyone pirating anything, but especially if you have such limited income please save that money for more important things like food...
on the survey topic too, a lot of games with microtransactions will give premium currency for doing surveys. i used to earn the majority of my premium gaia currency doing surveys when i was dead broke, barely paying my rent. it was a nice way to get some premium items in a game when i wasn't in a position to have fun money for stuff like that.
i think these are suggestions that they either won't listen to, or they're too unapproachable at this point for people to come to them with genuine suggestions
This. I can't work, so I do surveys on Prolific, and if I REALLY sit down and do them every day, I can make about 15-30$ a day. I also do a Patreon, and every six months, I put all the images in a bundle, and sell it at a slightly reduced bulk rate on itch.io. I also do commissions when I am able to.
It may not be a LOT of money, but it's something.
Also, I feel I need to bring up the following points:
- If they really can't work and have no income, they will qualify for EBT and Medicare. Even in Texas, where I believe they said they were from. And they can't use the excuse of not having transportation, because EVERYTHING is done online.
- If they're on Medicare or EBT, they qualify for a free phone.
I know this, because I am disabled, and I'm on EBT/Medicare, and have free phone service. (I'm not on SSDI, still fighting for it, bc the VA refuses to cooperate.)
Also....and I hate to even bring this up, but if they are native, they could turn to various services specifically for native folks. (Like for example, Native folks who don't qualify for TANF can still get their own form of temporary financial assistance.) Hell, there's at least three housing orgs in TX SPECIFICALLY for Lakota.
There are PLENTY of resources available, and various ways of earning even a LITTLE income.
