Just because I'm feeling bitchy and sour today anyway, I dug the last dev update post back up and sure enough, there's still nothing in the 'check back for answers to FAQs' section. Hope nobody took being told to do that seriously...

I'm not talking about rushing the feature itself, but if you launch a post specifically saying you're going to answer community feedback, make sure you have a little chunk of time planned out to do so. Even if some of the questions raised don't have clear answers yet (or people brought up angles the staff didn't consider because of the whole 'they don't play their own game' thing), nothing wrong with just saying "X aspect hasn't been finalized yet". And presumably there are at least some things they could give simple answers to.

(Yes, I'm primarily salty because I was hoping to see a reversal of the whole 'you must cultivate a robust friends list in order to fully participate' thing. FR is an occasionally-much-needed (like today! see: bitchy, sour) break from social crap for me, and it irks to think of being penalized for not being able to ramp up my interaction level.)

for those that use the G1 hoarders pinglist for sales/auctions/etc., how do you like(/dislike?) their new site compared to the old spreadsheet? i know as a buyer, i love having a direct link to each dragon in the post, and seeing the pings for colors/dates listed for each dragon makes it much easier to find what i was pinged for.

I typically train rather than farm low venues during NotN, but I thought I was an outlier in doing so, since it isn't optimal in terms of event loot rate. Earth isn't doing a public buy and, being Earth, hardly needs to turbo-exalt at a loss to secure their conquest. So the fodder floor being at 9500 is a bit surprising to me. Unless that's one really juicy IF raffle.

Exalting dragons gives you a chance at chests. I haven't exalted enough to figure out what the chest rate is, but either I'm very lucky or it's high. Could very well be worth it to exalt at a loss just to get your hands on more chests. I suspect that's what's going on.

I just learned, on December 24th, 2021, that you can go into your lair tab settings and highlight all the dragons with that days exalt bonuses. Then, if you're like me and already have an extra lair tab, you can just swoop all those dragons to their own tab for leveling.

I have been doing it by manually checking every fodder dragon every day. FML

If you sit on them, 6 months from now, noct eggs should equal out to roughly the same as normal elemental eggs. It's a log term investment.

Since prostitution is illegal in USA where FR is based and that fits the legal definition (sex for a "fee", not for "RL money"), it would be illegal and thus against the TOS.

Odd question: Am I the only one that has issues sometimes with seeing broadcast messages on profile pages? Especially if there's a background, but sometimes even without it? Especially with short messages.

It just dawned on me when I saw people discussing that it should be easy to read a dragon's broadcast message on the profile page for pronouns that the only time I can easily make broadcasts out with my eyes is by hover tooltips.

Maybe I need to get my eyes looked at again.

Blocked users glitch

So I was looking at the user settings, searching for a thread gene guide I saved, when I noticed that in the blocked users bit said that I had 25. Which is odd, as I am not that block happy, and in there I noticed that some users where repeated, one was even there 8 times!

I knew about the friend glitch, but this one is new to me. I deleted all of the repeats... except for JonSn0w0, I am happy having him trice blocked.

That was my first worry when I saw the post. I haaaate giving out my cell number, drives me crazy that more and more sites are demanding it these days, and schlepping over to email every time I want to log in would be irking as well. Offering extra security options is great, but if someone wants to opt out, understanding that it's consequently on them if they get hacked, that seems pretty fair (especially for what, no offence to FR, is just a goofy playsite for most).

I've also got a crappy phone that can't handle the 'find the stoplights' captchas that are becoming ubiquitous, so if they come to FR, I'm going to be locked out of playing on mobile entirely. (Coli camping, much though it may be derided, is simple by comparison.)

DA- Same, i was actually going to buy a g1 i've had my eye one for a few days now because of how well flair worked for her secondary as an obie (i loved what it did for baby obies manes) and now i have to settle for either...lord, i think either morph, noxtide, rosette or eel, if i want the same effect. None of which really match the primary i had picked out (leopard) that much. Bee works better tbh but i really wasn't planning on buying a gem gene. =/

i just really loved the accent colors flair had in their manes before. i'm so sad, ugh.

several g1 imp accounts have been targeted, at least five of them.

a few other KS ones. Since some are in the process of 'recovering' i think it'd get them in trouble to list out.
