I am dying at the FunkEngine returns with another copyrighted accent one.

So far, so good, but the dingus has 6 days submit another plague copyright violation.

Also, am I the only one that thinks if Funkengine had been smart and just submitted that as a custom, without trying to sneak it in as a contest accent, it would have been easily accepted? They could have had their copyrighted accent, if they had. The winning a site contest was the kicker.

Definitely, same for the lightning festival one.
There's so many copyright infringing accents and skins, down to the most obvious details, their big mistake was bringing 2-3k sets of eyes on their skin, instead of just 30.

Honestly, they would have probably been able to sell copies too. They were both decent designs, and I would have loved the lightning one. It was good for a certain lair motif.

But no, they had to have it as an official festival accent contest entry.

Even if it's a minor market, it still exists, so it might be worth pointing out to attract buyers. That said, they usually provide a screenshot or something.

It's kind of like Gen2s, they're not special in any way, but some people like them for lore or whatever.

Honestly, it can get attention and is interesting, but I'm not paying extra for the trait now that I can vial.

Congrats to Water for winning this impromptu battle!!

I loved Lightning stepping to us in Water, it made for a really fun impromptu battle. I slightly love beating them more though, because Pumpkin Push is an annual Dom week for us usually and it would have felt shitty not getting something we go ham over internally every year. I’m really pleased for the Droplets, they super deserve to be stoked after so much effort, and so close to the Earth battle.

I really hope this stokes up more casual battles for Dom instead of the huge effort battles normally come with, it genuinely felt thrilling.

Well done on the impromptu battle. I look forward to seeing what you guys do in the future. That was a hell of a challenge.

From what I heard, Lightning Dom leads actually had to fund part of the battle out of their own pocket because the Vault didn't have enough money. Either that or they were trying to preserve the Vault for ... something next year? No idea. It seems antithesinal (... is this even a word? like the antithesis) to what the Vault is for, i.e., funding conquests, so I hope that they simply ran out of money.

Antithetical! Another word I'd use is "counterintuitive." I hope they sort whatever money issues they have in time for another fun battle!
