So I've noticed a whole bunch of nonnies posting about food lately (or at least two, I think), and I've come to the realization that I have nine freaking pages of food items, and I just let my two (2) whole dragons starve every day without bothering to do my gathering turns because I'm lazy, so really I could do a lot more to help people out with food.

If anyone needs (or honestly, even just wants, idc if you have 3208467324 pages of mire food) food, I've got a helpful form and everything so that you don't have to publicly de-anon (since I know so many people don't want to). I'll still have to know who you are since I'll be sending you 1t PAs of food and I can't do that with you anonymously, but you don't have to de-anon publicly. Best I can do. ><

This is sorted from price high->low so that you can see right up front that I'm not some duplicitous anon scammer sending a bunch of 1t PAs and advising you to spam, only to send an expensive one and scam you or anything. Idk if anyone would think that, but I just wanna be really transparent that I'm not up to anything shady and this is legit just free food.

Cause this shit SUCKS! I hope our oof raffles aren't going to start being this god-awful, because frankly, those prize packs are embarrassing. Are we suddenly broke? No. There are prize packs there of items the raffle bank stopped accepting because no one WANTS them. If I wasn't recording my levels for another program, I wouldn't even bother.

Forbidden Portal Teams?

Hey nons, does anyone have a good setup for a Forbidden Portal team? I'm looking for a fodder build, but another friend kind of just wants to farm Portal, so if anyone has suggestions for that, they'd be appreciated!

I've seen the Maki guide and the Alatreon guide, but I wanted to see if anyone here had any thoughts.

Also, dumb question, but what do you guys do when the guide doesn't go level by level? Just level up sections until they're full and then move on to others? Wait until level 25 to stat? Someone help me, I'm really dumb and every time I see a guide without level by level my brain just shuts down. :'D

I've used my Golem Workshop fodder leveling pair (per this guide: https://www1.flightrising.com/forums/gde/1666709 which might be slightly outdated) for double-duty in FP since it was released. It's probably not maximally efficient in terms of stats or element balance - my mage is Wind and my fighter Nature, which can cause some nasty interactions with some of the Portal mages - and I might make an extra pair just for that venue someday, but they served well enough while I was collecting familiars early on and getting fest loot during the Arcane holiday.

Re: your second question, I've got nothing. I trained up my first few Lv 25s entirely slapdash and long enough ago that I don't remember much, balanced stats on the first one until after I'd gotten her fully leveled and had to tincture her. Since then when I want a 25 with a new build, I toss it on a team with one of my current trainers (usually rotating normal fodder through the second slot) until it's at least Lv 20 - sometimes the intended venue is forgiving enough that you can less-efficiently train there with a dragon who doesn't have their complete stats.

A big problem is many guides give you just enough STR when fully statted to rallied-eliminate the toughest non-boss in the venue, and since rally is dependent on the level of the dragon casting it, you can fall short on some enemies even if you have enough stat points to reach the recommended STR (and you don't want to go over that or you'll have to tincture later on) by skimping on QCK and VIT.

So it's a question of whether the satisfaction of being able to level up a trainer and trainees at the same time is worth the extra effort (restarting more often, etc). Having the dragon start to function as a fighter from a lower level seems much harder and, again, really only something I'd do for the fun/interest of it. More efficient to pack levels on them as you would a fodder until they can pull their weight at least somewhat in the higher venues.

I'm also out of beakers after making a bunch of valentine's scenes, and can't even start on den slot brewing until the prismatic token I threw in just before the fest ended finishes up. Plus my flight is pushing this week, so I'm trying to behave and wait to buy my lair slots at discount next week and grind the extra fams once I'm off fodder-training duty. But all that extra space is so close! *twitches*

Varies. Sometimes the item will be worth more and other times the items for the trade will be worth more.
It's all about checking what gives you more profit and go with that.

treasure inflation

ive just returned to the game after years of a break from it and wow the t:g ratio has really spiked! In fact, it feels to me like everything is a bit more expensive when it comes to treasure, especially as I'm currently fixing to re-open my adopt shop and comparing prices(I used to charge a 50kt flat rate for all genes and the listed gem ratio in my old accent shop was.... 1:350..)

im not disparaging this as much as i'm wondering how much of it is the product of time/lack of treasure sinks and how much is the product of avenues like G&G that make it super easy to get treasure for casual players too. In addition, the current prices/currency rate doesnt necessarily feel as steep as it looks, if that makes sense, due to how easy it is to hit that daily 75kt now.

What are your guys' thoughts on this? I'm especially curious to hear if you've been active for years+ and have felt the changes first hand

The treasure/gem ratio spikes atm bc recently veilspuns came out (a gem breed) and also we got the new koi tert (gem gene); also WC scrolls are soon returning if we can go by past cycles, so people are trying to get their hands to gems more atm.

don't do the penny jar trade, that's pissing away money. Ever since Baldwin, the 9 Broken Bottle components are worth more on the AH than the lousy like 200t or whatever you get from opening a jar.

Broken Bottles are generally like 250t minimum EACH, currently LAH has them about 400-450t, though that could be higher than normal due to the recent trade. But due to their necessity as baldwin components, they're still worth more than 10x the opening of the jar, and that's EACH.

tl;dr sell your broken bottles on the AH, which is not only better money than Swipp's trade, but also available 24/7 instead of the dumb trade. (Honestly, they should take that trade out entirely, it's nothing but a trap for new players or players who don't know any better.)
