Does anyone know what causes this glitch? I tried searching the forum but couldn't find anything. OP says it "took quite a while to get the right one" so I'm assuming that this can be reproduced under the right conditions. I'm just really curious!

now that beastiary has changed(well it changed a while ago but i was gone from the site for years) im wondering if lending would ever happen for big ticket fams, like people do with big ticket avatar items on neopets(eg. lending happens but it requires collateral and show of proof from lending successfully lower tier items before allowing the big tier ones)

I dont understand why every flight server is locked down for their flights and why people become such assholes at the meer suggestion of opening up more channels. this is a dragon pixel game, not anything actually high stakes. I want to meet people outside of my flight without committing for 6 months to a new flight, and all flight servers are always so crowded. what's the issue with having flight servers that have OOF sections and IF sections?

TLDR I'm so fucking tired of my flights community but my entire lore is based around my flight so I cant move

TL;DR:
- The Specialty tab is getting broken up into a "Genes" tab and a "Scenes/Vistas" tab
- SEARCHING AND FILTERING HOLY FUCK YES. No more scrolling through 10 pages of Ancient genes to find what you want.
- Flash sales -- every 12 hours, a new item is heavily discounted.
- There will be icons that show you if you already have the item in your hoard or if you've already applied it to your account.

Maybe this is a thing other people know, but I learned it today, and I thought it was neat - "Perdita" is a genus of teeny-tiny bees! I didn't really think about the "Perdita bee" in FR, but know you know that, with Perdita as a genus, it's the "bee bee" familiar. :P

Perdita are usually quite small (2.0 mm to 10.0 mm) and often brightly colored with metallic reflections and/or yellow or white markings, and among the few lineages of bees incapable of stinging.

I swear that stepping into any forum that's not directly for transactional purposes reminds me how many children (whether age-wise or just mentally...) are on FR. idk if I'm just getting old (or maybe FR-old-and-jaded), but I swear the more I see of FR's community outside of AR, the more misanthropic I end up feeling.

Recently I was able to purchase a dragon I owned & sold 3-4 years ago (and she's exactly the same!), it's made me so unbelievably happy to have her back. after having an incredibly shitty(tm) time lately, it feels like she was purposefully placed to remember that, in fact, not everything is awful all of the time

I know I'm reading too much into it/a dragon game, but still :')

So a long time ago on a drama site far, far away, I on multiple occasions posted moneymaking tips. I've done the same in multiple discords. (Never just out of the blue, always when prompted by people asking how I had so much FRC to buy X thing, gene Y dragon, etc.) After the fifth or sixth time, I had planned to do a sort of 'FR investment/moneymaking for newbies' kind of program, but then went on FR hiatus pretty much right after. I've since been reminded of it, but I'm not sure whether 1) there's still interest in such a thing and 2) whether it would be presumptuous of me.

If I held some sort of program (probably with a free contest attached to spark interest, e.g. people who make the most money from X starting funds win a prize with a few tiers from newbie to rich), would anyone actually be interested in that?

And also, is that something that would come off as arrogant/presumptuous and start drama/make people hate me, or would it actually be useful? I'm trying not to be tone deaf but I honestly don't know how the reaction on that kind of thing would go since I'm worried that it could be interpeted as 'hey lemme flex my wealth' instead of 'here's a guide + contest on how to make money, based on my own personal experience.'

Honestly I think that rocks. I know some flights have programs and guides for money-making that encourage profits that don't involve just exalting dragons so I am positive you'll get traction for it. I am also a fan of people who like to come up with new ways to approach the community.

As for the haters...lol fuck them. They will hate regardless of what you do, but it's the people you have reached out to and helped that count

Are there any advanced guides for making money on the site? Most guides I can find seem to be aimed at newbies. I can casually make like 150kt a day off of the coli and fairgrounds, but I've decided I want to start collecting sprites/other retired familiars so I'm gonna need to beef up my income big time if I want to get anywhere lmao.

not sure about guides, but heres some things that helped me collect sprites and other retired stuff.

skill related, YMMV
- art/adoptables
- skins and accents
- lore writing, graphics, music, etc etc

onsite options
- get (more?) into exalting. join a team focused on exalting or merc work. these communities can have challenges or competitions to exalt/profit more
- focus on "hot" coli drops (outside of big ticket stuff like eggs and elims). focus on higher/less popular venues as their fams and drops sell for more. sell drops that are used in popular swipp trades and track which swipp trades are up
- community events like grab bags or raffles

general saving tips
- vault is your best friend
- focus on one item at a time. it makes each achievement feel better imo
- set weekly saving goals and track your daily income/expenses. when i saved up for my light sprite i set my goal at 500kT/week, and id log and store everything i gained at the end of the day (except for 5kT for wiggle room). if i dip into the vault for fodder, i track that as a negatice. tracking it gives me a weekly goal, and helps keep me focused on saving rather than spending.

obviously this is just what worked for me, and may or may not work for you. imo, tracking daily progress was the most valuable thing. i frequently passed the 500kT mark, but it made each week feel successful and kept me focused on saving.

They aren't a decent investment by now - I remember that I bought a scroll for barely 2500 or so several months after they had last cycled in. Last time I invested in flipping scrolls (buy in treasure, sell in gems at a good ratio), I made something like that in a couple of weeks even without putting in much effort.
