Edit: I have updated the rules:

ADDENDUM TO RULE THREE (3): Because I do NOT want another instance of shit that happened this month, and the shit that happened in @anonrising, Fandom Politics are NOT ALLOWED. This includes, but is not limited to:
  •          Anime
  •          Fanfiction/Fanart
  •         Anti/Proshipping war bullshit
*These subjects almost inevitably bring up Anti/Proship bullshit and there are folks on both sides who might be triggered by certain content, or feel dismissed by various argument points on both sides. As a result, THEY ARE  NOT ALLOWED. This site is for DRAGON DRAMA, not your Pro/Anti shipping bullshit. Take it to fandomwank or fandom_secrets or whatever other platform they're using nowadays.

treasure inflation

ive just returned to the game after years of a break from it and wow the t:g ratio has really spiked! In fact, it feels to me like everything is a bit more expensive when it comes to treasure, especially as I'm currently fixing to re-open my adopt shop and comparing prices(I used to charge a 50kt flat rate for all genes and the listed gem ratio in my old accent shop was.... 1:350..)

im not disparaging this as much as i'm wondering how much of it is the product of time/lack of treasure sinks and how much is the product of avenues like G&G that make it super easy to get treasure for casual players too. In addition, the current prices/currency rate doesnt necessarily feel as steep as it looks, if that makes sense, due to how easy it is to hit that daily 75kt now.

What are your guys' thoughts on this? I'm especially curious to hear if you've been active for years+ and have felt the changes first hand

The treasure/gem ratio spikes atm bc recently veilspuns came out (a gem breed) and also we got the new koi tert (gem gene); also WC scrolls are soon returning if we can go by past cycles, so people are trying to get their hands to gems more atm.

i mean yes of course right now we have a spike in gem interest, but im asking more on a bigger perspective, looking at our growth over the years

ayrt

yes you are right it became kinda easy to make treasure over the years, but with genes costing around 250k each and other commodities like apparel/vistas/scenes, things are kinda expensive on FR to begin with, but thankfully FR does not require you too grind too much you can get easy money via

- exalting
- playing glimmer and gloom (i am personally too dumb for it but people say they max the lucky streak out like in 20-30 min each day wow)
- doing the little dailies like tomo and crim (and yes shit does pile up)
- bonding with fams (and yes it does pay off with the gilded chests)
- etc.

So yes supply and demand, BUT you can get rather easy gems on FR itself without outright buying them for money or converting them with treasure, glided chest often give around 20g each and random exalts also drop gems at you.

I personally would get only concerned when the gem VS treasure ratio goes like over 1:1500 and such.

The gem ratio was still about 1:1000 at the start of 2020. I think Veilspuns really pushed the rise of price of gems because the price spiked after they were announced

The ratio is already at 1:1300, a jump to 1:1500 isn't that far off, sadly. Idek what we're gonna do then. =/
