The most offending(if it can be called that) thing about the person saying that if they can block them (instead of outright blocking) is implying that the (I guess) Dom leader is creepy bc of the way they write.

Bruh... what? It was literally just one confused newbie making a post that threw shade on the flight and its dom leadership, and one anon spark's somewhat poorly worded response to set the record straight. In what world does this justify statements such as: anon saying dom organizers are friendly only serves to hide the fact that the flight is actually a toxic cesspool not unlike an abusive household, the public being quiet about Lightning means there's shit being stirred and covered up constantly and not that there's simply not too much happening, all sparks are about to be viewed as "problematic, corrupt, suspect, drama-causers" (?), people already almost universally dislike lightning in general (??), everyone on FR is prejudiced against certain flights even if they don't admit it (???)

This reads like a paranoid person and I'm saying this with concern, not to be mean.

That one person in the comments who is totally not the op of the DR post admitting they have severe paranoia and it's just, dude. I have excessive paranoia problems and the number one thing will NEVER do is publicly post rumors about shit even if I'm paranoid about that specific thing. It's one thing for me to think it irrationally but it's another thing ENTIRELY for me to say that shit in a public setting. Like I've had paranoia that a user on FR was repeatedly buying my dragons and spite exalting them before I saw it was them (newsflash, it wasnt lol i was selling them as fodder their flight was pushing that week) but I wouldn't publicly accuse them of that??? Because that's just involving others in my paranoia and that's not ok.

I feel like they're not the OP, but instead A in the comments is. When they do come in to rant its the exact same writing style as the post- B just seems like someone with the same point of view. Both seem paranoid (in the literal sense of the word) but I dont think B is OP.

I thought the same thing but OP claims to be in lightning while A says they're in ice. Their rant is just as wild as the original post though. I can't get over how lightning not conquesting and their mother beating them with a frying pan somehow ended up in the same train of thought for them. What the actual fuck.

As a spark decently involved with dom, this is the dumbest stuff I've ever heard. We have dom polls for a reason, and people are pointing to a handful of people saying they want a conquest like that means we're faking the data. That's not true, people who want a conquest are just still in the minority. That's not to say it's a perfect system, and I do think the fact that we haven't conquested in years says something about our system being broken. Though, I think it's more of an oversight to how the polls are setup anything else, glad to hear the dom team is taking some time to reflect on it.

If you want to talk lightning dom drama, go back to the JT stuff. That was real and I did a fucking tap dance when he left.

JT? Does anyone have a brief TL;DR or link to what happened, I keep seeing people talk about this person and I have no idea what they did. I assume they were a Lightning dom admin but that's all I've got.

Welp, this isn't really brief, but I put together a summary with some links because there was a lot of stuff spanning more than a year. There's probably more I didn't cover, but this is about all the time I had free to poke through old AR posts so here we go.

JT, also called JT/JS because they were originally JonTargaryen and now JonSnOwO, is a user who basically ruined Lightning dom by being annoying and shady, switched to Plague and ruined their dom, and thankfully isn't very active anymore.

It started with him constantly making fundraising posts for Lightning in dom watch threads. People were annoyed by this because some felt that it wasn't the purpose of DW. There was some other shadiness too.

The truly incredible RoR drama: there was a shitstorm when a banwave caught Plague's raffle runner in the middle of a dom push. KyraG, one of the longest standing dom leaders in Plague, threw a fit over this and flounced from the site. This didn't heavily involve JT, but it did leave him pretty much alone at the top.

Shortly after his flight change cooldown was up, he moved to Earth. He was not successful in joining the dom team there, so that's pretty much the end of his drama career. People were annoyed that he basically claimed he made Plague great again as he abandoned it.

I absolutely agree with you.

People need to calm down when it comes to dom culture and curb their expectations towards others and stop treating their flight like its more than what it really is. It's okay to be proud of your flight and all but not to the point where you feel entitled to the time and energy of volunteers.

As someone who was legit gaslighted their entire childhood and now needs CBT/therapy because of it?

This whole thing really makes me uncomfortable, because there's a difference between being underhanded on the net and gaslighting someone to keep them confused and doubting themselves so they're easier to control for the purpose of abuse.

A few comments on a drama post ain't gaslighting.
