BUTTROCK SEASON <3 I'm so excited, Notn is my fav time around the year at FR. I loathe the coli but notn is the only thing that actually brings me back to use it for those two weeks in the year
i hate to say it, but every year i hate notn a little more. it's just frustrating and more and more unfun the more things they add to it...i have a feeling i'll probably just end up outright buying everything this year without really trying to grind and that kind of makes me sad.
Probably around 8-9%? I think it's been dropping by about 1% each year. Eventually the admins are going to have to do something about the pool though (or maybe not knowing how they are). I know it's already weighted in favor of the new items so eventually it's not going to be feasible to get a large amount of eggs from just coli anymore.
The only reason why I said 20% is that there's a small chance that I'll absolutely love one/couple of the apparels, otherwise I'd agree with 10%. Like, the candles? Perfect (though my fav recolor is either Baldwin or gem). Foreclaws, forelegs and the tail spikes from last NotN are also perfect. The only good thing about the jester stuff is that staff finally made them meltable.
personally banking on someone making a suggestions thread to remove permababies altogether because the idea of wanting your dragon to stay a hatchling forever is "creepy and gross"
we're already getting dangerously close what with last week's thread about how you shouldn't be able to permababy a dragon that's been bred and that one about how baby versions of familiars would be weird, somehow
Funny/creepy thought of the moment: if they did block bred dragons from being permababied... Would existing ones become valuable like 2 letter names by some folks if they grandfathered them in?
* next ancient is available only through a cuckoo-like mechanic. site implodes * someone starts a petition 'peace in coli' to change eliminate's description because it says that dragon enemies die and so every dragon is a murderer * a counterpetition 'let me murder in peace' is started * nature fest's apparel has either a bone or red cloth in it; staff being anti-plague is confirmed * map update allows players to choose their regions but it costs 100g; staff are called capitalist pigs at least twice * selling familiars with human features on an auction house indicates approval of slavery * nesting grounds are about to be updated and a concerned player rises against using the word 'breed' because it means hot fae on imp sex and this is a 13+ site * toggles
Elliot Page, formally known as Ellen Page*, had recently come out as transgender, and uses he/they pronouns. I'm glad for him, but I also feel a little shitty because my first thought was "ooh, how are they going to do the Umbrella Academy?" Because it would be weird right, to have the actor continue to play a cis woman character? Or am I overthinking? Maybe Vanya will come out as transgender, which could be cool if handled well. After all, Vanya was on brain drugs for most of her life; being off of them might help Vanya discover more about themself.
Anyway, anyone who's upset that they "lost a lesbian icon" or whatever can go step on Legos for all eternity. Best of wishes to Elliot, and to any of you all that is going through your own gender journey.
*Which I'm only mentioning so people know who I'm talking about? I don't mean to deadname him, but I had to Google it, and I want it to be clear for people coming in who hadn't heard yet
I think it's most likely he'll wrap up UB as Vanya the way she was previously written. I saw both the official Twitter accounts for Netflix and UB supporting him, so it's possible they will write in the nonbinary reveal but actors working as characters with different genders to theirs is as old as time so I don't think it would be strange if they didn't.
Whether or not he'll continue to pick up roles like Vanya in the future is to be seen but I support him however he wants to work!
True enough! I just keep remembering how, on Orange is the New Black, they brought in Laverne Cox's twin brother to play her character pre-transition. I hope Elliot isn't uncomfortable playing Vanya as written, though I suppose I'm being a little white-knight-y/stupid to worry when it's his choice, and he gets to choose his level of comfort, you know?
