Yeah, to be honest, as someone who DOES want santa hats (and in blue as well! my favorite color!), I wouldn't have recognized it as being a 'santa hat' without the drama surrounding it. It honestly looked more like a sleep cap than a santa type cap. (decided to do some portmanteau, and combined hat and cap and got cat... *sigh*)

I can understand people not wanting Christmas shoved everywhere, but, I honestly feel that way about Halloween. I dislike all the halloween I see shoved everywhere (and I am with people that Christmas songs should start at the earliest December 1st, unless you are playing them on your personal radio :P)

Again, as the OP of the other thread about this, I don't want full on Christmas Comes to Sornieth, I just want some little things to decorate my dragons with.

If I can ignore Halloween and the items I don't like from it, why can't people ignore a single skin and, if we get them, some baubles and colder weather themed items? (such as a santa-esque type suit)

Yeah my family was literally too poor to celebrate Christmas last year so I largely ignored everything Christmas related. But if I saw something Christmas related I... didn't give a shit. Especially in this case when it's not explicitly Christmas, the hat isn't red, it's blue, there's nothing saying that has to be a Santa hat, you guys are just deciding it is and choosing to get mad about it. Kind of gross, seriously? Yeah the skin maker totally had some malicious intent to... sneak an indirect Christmas reference into a Flight Rising skin...
