not anymore but they definitely could cover the cost of another scroll back in the day?
imp scrolls sat at like ~200kg for quite some time. if you had a really desirable breeding pair, good or even decent colors, in a year or twos worth of clutches you'd absolutely have enough to get another scroll.
even now there's pairs that regularly go for 10kg or more per hatchling (dya, whatever that near-miss all white pair is, etc). at those prices you can definitely get imp scroll money within a reasonable period of time.
