Looking at the AH and how a few people are dropping 5+ 99 stacks of noc eggs and I'm torn between "Wish I could mindlessly grind like that" and "Damn, are you botting, dude?"

Yes, I'm talking about DeadlyInformant

it maths out if they sniped a ton of cheap chests, opened them, had decent luck and sold the eggs, used the money to buy more chests, over and over

24 stacks????? Damn dude.

a little over 2 pages of 99 stacks.

Considering the drop rate of eggs from chests, and chests from coli, either they're LIVING in the coli and AH and doing nothing but grinding both, or they're botting.

If the former, I admire their focus, my adhd could never.

If the latter, I hope they get caught and banned.

They could also be paying for grinding? I dont know them so no idea if they are or if they would bot but paying for grinding is very worth it during NotN (if you can find anyone to do it, there’s a lot of demand)

No idea if they’re botting but I will say I’ve seen mass listings by them for *years* (since at least 2017? Maybe 2016?? My memory isn’t great)

So if they are botting, they’re damn good at not incriminating themselves. And if they aren’t, they’ve been living in coli for a *long* time

or they're buying tons of cheap(er) eggs off the AH and flipping them. even if they're only making 1g profit off each egg (unlikely; it's probably more than 1g lol) that's still over 2kg of profit for them given how many eggs they have up on the AH. and players buying in bulk will absolutely pay a bit more per egg if it means they don't have to click through the swamps of single-item listings.

no coli/chests needed :)

True! All of the cheapest eggs right now are single items. Could be an occasion of a stack charging a convenience fee rather than being cheaper
