In case anyone missed the bullet point in the latest announcement thread (like me!), there's now a small chance of getting an Eliminate if you answer a question correctly with Tomo.
Honestly I’m so glad for it. I got really lucky and got one immediately, so I sent it over to a newer friend who still doesn’t have one. It made their day and mine!
Even with Galore giving out the free two those years back, they’ve still steadily climbed. They’re not where they used to be at- I bought mine for between 400-600kt each when I joined- but they were getting back into a pretty intimidating price bracket for anyone new to coli. I’m hoping this will keep them more stable even if it’s a very slow trickle!
They used to be cheaper when everyone grinded the Arena during festivals because that was the venue that dropped the most currency, which I can't imagine was intended in a meta way.
But then they started rebalancing the other venues, changing various enemies from their original element into neutral element, and then adding venues that featured heavily one element (like the Crystal Pools for Arcane, Ghostlight Ruins for Dark, etc.) and so people dispersed more.
AND despite what the official word was, the Eliminates only dropped from very specific enemies, sometimes ones that appeared rarely in the different pack configurations of each venue.
AND then people figured out how levels counted for Dominance, prompting people to figure out the most efficient way to level dragons, and mostly setting on The Mire, which didn't drop Eliminates initially.
So you had years of these changes making Eliminate more and more expensive.
I don't know if that was intended, though. Might have been? The way people grind mindlessly the Coliseum trying to maximize the most profit in the least amount of time definitely feels like that wasn't what the site owners originally wanted.
