i expected some REAL shit flinging and fist fights with the way this is described but this is not even a weak sauce pillow fight, even by pvp forum standards.

like, don't get me wrong, I don't agree with the suggestion, but hungryhobbits absolutely deserves that for implying that the unexalting other people's dragons part was somehow manipulatively hidden.

Acting like OP is trying to somehow maliciously manipulate users into not commenting on the subject of restoring other people's dragons, thus giving staff a free pass to sneakily implement that feature... or something idk

I use the lore of dragons are traveling to serve their deity and pay my clan a fee for training. My trainers are teachers at a military academy/mercenary school.
To me it’s the difference of goals. The goal of IvW was for one flight to beat the other. The goal of what’s looking like LvF (unofficial) is to get first place. The distinction is that the flight and the dom team isn’t going to drain itself dry if it looks like the other flight has a huge advantage. Fodder’s going to go up but not a bonkers amount.
keep in mind last time Light fought Fire they barely won with a bonefiend despite being the significantly better organized flight. Why would they want to go through that again?
i think you're possibly underestimating light's love of dom conquest. but you are probably correct they wouldn't want to deal with fire's lack of organization again? ymmv.
I can confirm that Im in light and we’re down for conquest but not a battle atm. Mostly we’ve got no clue what fire’s going to come at us with and we’re not really going to be bothered by it. If we win then we win; if not, we’re not draining the bank dry before the hottest week of the year.

Yeah, Fire has the smallest active population by a significant margin, like less than half the size of Light. Emphasis on "active," since that's what counts during Dom. They don't need to be all that organized to have an advantage against pretty much any flight but Earth.

Lightdom posted an update today about this and why it's not a battle, tldr: Both staked a claim before you could see on Dom Watch who was pushing that week, Fire wanted to battle, dom teams couldn't agree on terms (not surprised, Arcanedom used battle terms to treat Lightdom like shit during LvA and Lightdom has never liked terms), nobody is battling now.

Well, that's certainly obnoxious behavior. That's also the problem with the dragon trade threads - you can't guarantee someone isn't going to want to take in your traveler. Dismissing Aequorin like she isn't an admin and can't see account activity if she wants is foolish, though.
SA I'm thinking the "change in lore" excuse is being used as pretense to dodge the fact that they appeared to have breed changed this dragon to a Fathom - likely without the original owner's permission.
