depends on the theme of your accent!
maybe a four pointed star, tiny moon, little dangling vine with leaves, cool eye symbol, lots of choices!
ancient fr drama from eons ago https://www.tumblr.com/g0dtier/tagged/Vagueblogging%20Crew
It's not a double dom attempt, it's just a reserve for festival week activities. (The second week is listed in reserve posts on Dom Watch, but not under pushes)
scrolled through and wow thats just a boring and exhausting nothingburger. i hope all of those people have since touched grass. maybe gotten jobs. discovered nature
OP here, thanks for the link. I was there for this drama but (as another anon said) it is very nothingburger.
On another note: i distinctly remember that one of the loudest “anti-VBC” or whatever had a post on their blog saying it’s not morally wrong to charge more currency when drawing commissions of dark-skinned characters. Does anyone here happen to remember who that person is because it has been bugging for years. (Context is that someone posted a screenshot to ye olde dramarising of an art shop with a melanin tax, and this person reblogged the post saying it’s normal for artists who have less skill in an area to charge more money for something that would challenge their current level of skill)

while i completely agree you can charge more for something you're not familiar with/good at, it's not hard to colourpick skintones from provided screenshots/existing artwork, or even ask your client to give you a swatch for the skintones without ambient lighting/shadow to sample colours from to make sure you get it right. just say hey, my turnaround will take longer and i may need extra input from you because i'm learning skintones. charging more for skintone is ridiculous even if it takes a little extra work to make sure that value interaction turns out right.
charging more should be for like... complex details (looking especially at mecha), drawing humans when you draw animals best and vice-versa, backgrounds, etc., not skintones. i hope that artist has learned better by now. :T

Completely agree. If you’re really unsure about drawing different kinds of skin tones, then if you’re offering rendered color portraits increase the charge on the base price to account for an average increase in time. If you get commissioned for something you’re good at appreciate the extra time. That’s not something you break out an individual cost item.

OP- thank you for the correction, I misunderstood!
LuckOfTheClaws is a massive twat that use to plague up the Suggestion thread. They post in your thread disagreeing with you they will turn it into a big stink.
Noel1 and Darkfeather from the gen 2 imperial community. First is a homophobic low baller and the second was infamous for their melt down over not getting someone's g1 imperial.

No prob!! I was confused too for a second ^^;

Is there a source for Darkfeather? I've admittedly only had a few interactions with them, but they seemed nice enough. Not saying you're lying--people can obviously mask their shitiness--but would just like some proof before I make the decision to block.
do you think staff will ever rerelease y1 stuff? I know they've been very firm on a "no" for awhile, but noticing the "y1 items in joxbox" board in the suggestions having 30 pages of mainly support makes me wonder.
I don't think so. There would be so much shit from a very vocal, like, 10%, that I don't think it'd be worth it.
Besides, it just generally seems like an entitled suggestion to me.

how in the world is it 'entitled' to want something usually unobtainable to newer or casual players to be somewhat more available by like 1%.
are you out of your mind? go take a walk outside if you think THAT'S being entitled.

im reading the old AR forums and what the hell does ibaz mean
My problem with rereleasing y1 items is I don't think FR players realize it is normally and necessary to have end-game, expensive items. The FR staff has to maintain a good game economy and having expensive items like the sprites are part of that. It's good game design to have things for players to strive towards, and it is normal for older players to accumulate wealth by merit of playing and having access to now valuable items.
Honestly 2016 feels like such an arbitrary cutoff for fest items being in joxbox
but this is coming from someone who joined in 2015 and therefore mostly has things that got unretired so take it with a grain of salt
Probably the Items for Sale forum? The URL for that forum is fr.com/forums/ibaz
Seconding the desire for screens of what Darkfeather did. Frustrating coming here to get information from my own block list but nobody is providing screens (makes sense for that one dangerous guy given what they did but otherwise...)
i personally don't, because when it comes to their promises for retired items, staff is extremely stringent about following them unless there's an extenuating circumstance. also, some retired items are apology items for really early issues (for example, when the VERY bad downtimes of year 1 were constant due to the user strain) as a means of thanking players for sticking around despite them, and i especially don't see those getting another release.
Ah, sounds like you're someone with the frame of mind of- "They just want it for free/cheap." Which is a bullshit frame of mind because for the most part, it's NOT true lol
Wanting something to be a little more accessible is not entitled. Light Sprites are expensive af. They rival the kickstarter items in price! That's not right.

If you mean Y1 stuff like sprites? Highly unlikely even though it has quite a bit of support. I don't ever expect the Y1 downtime familiars to be rereleased.
Now, are they ever going to unretire the Elemental Acolyte familiars (2015-2016)? I'd hope so, since that's where things get real arbitrary, fast.
