An important update:
Due to a specific person being a complete child, comments are going to be screened by default.
This is only temporary, and I apologize for the inconvenience- this is going to be a pain in the ass for me, too, but multiple people have come forward about fears of doxxing, and this is the only way to make sure any doxxing is contained.
(This basically will force the doxxer to make a DW account to post any doxxing attempts unscreened, and will let me more reliably report them to DW staff/authorities.)
Again, I apologize, and will be working to unscreen comments as fast as possible, but I'm only one person.
(Vasemod has had some personal issues come up, so I am the only mod atm. Please bear with me until this bit of annoyance has passed.)

(Anonymous) 2023-10-02 12:30 pm (UTC)(link)there is a ton of good art being entered, it's not like staff is having an easy time of judging every month, so good art would still win contests just not the same artists as the month before. I'm an old user (oct '13 window) and this discussion/wank wouldnt be repeated if people werent demotivated by the domination of specific artists in skin contests, im obvs biased also bc i have had multiple friends enter contests and quit due to the demotivation not necessarily not getting picked but rather seeing the same people get picked (and these are Good Art whatever you want to call it, successful on the skin and accent market, 15k+ followers on art accts, bad metrics but you get me they are not amateurs mad their glowey eye ms paint disaster didnt get an hon ment.)
I to an extent realize that arguing at all abt this is silly because none of us will change our minds and staff are happy w how it is now, but it is so wild to me that something accepted in a ton of other hobbies and with a very low impact is so controversial on FR.
