An important update:

Due to a specific person being a complete child, comments are going to be screened by default.

This is only temporary, and I apologize for the inconvenience- this is going to be a pain in the ass for me, too, but multiple people have come forward about fears of doxxing, and this is the only way to make sure any doxxing is contained.

(This basically will force the doxxer to make a DW account to post any doxxing attempts unscreened, and will let me more reliably report them to DW staff/authorities.)

Again, I apologize, and will be working to unscreen comments as fast as possible, but I'm only one person.

(Vasemod has had some personal issues come up, so I am the only mod atm. Please bear with me until this bit of annoyance has passed.)

How about some deets? I have literally just seen the name and nothing else. (Mind, the deets might be here and not visible yet.)

Who is it? Are they replacing the previous one or does fire have 2 teams now? What happenned with Duchess's massive hoard of donations, if it's a replacement?

If it's a second team, I really do hope they're ready for the original team to take credit every time there's a victory and blame them whenever there's a loss.

Not an ember but I'm hopeful for this MC move, it's pretty crazy but Fire's dom has been a true hot mess for years now, maybe this is what is needed to fix it. It's too early to know but I'm crossing my fingers for you Fire, hope things get better from here on out

Thought: why both 'teams' have to have specific names, is 'Fire's dom team' not 'patriotic' enough for either of them?

Firedom has been functionally DOA since at least 2017 (ask me how i know lol). Protowilson was one of the good ones, so hearing about that going down was pretty sad. TL;DR - Everyone I know who has tried to reform the AA over the last six years has failed ... but maybe this time will be different?

AA has apparently posted a feedback form on the fire dom forum and are searching for new members.

any embers confirm? either way, can’t say i believe this would have happened had people not begun trying to form a new team

Ember and can confirm. Worth noting that the AA *has* made feedback forms in the past / a public suggestion form, but this one is much more specific than those in the past (specific ideas and direction with an open comment field rather than Just an open comment field). I hope it will get them better feedback, and that they'll actually be able to act on it this time.

im supporting ice as well. they had a lot less time to prepare and its admirable that they stepped up, especially with the current price of battles.

on a more petty note it also helps that ice hasnt called me a vulture for wanting a dom battle.

I'll be honest. Droplet, and I'm not even bothering. Because even if we win, we don't really win.
Everyone will just say it's because we had more prep time/resources than ice.

Props to ice for stepping up, but I almost wish it had been canceled.

honestly as a droplet im excited for the battle itself, but im really just worried about the reactions to it after the fact. shit gets heated and its not like smr is known for being reasonable or anything… literally just praying we dont get shit on if we win for having more prep time or having smaller flight advantage

To those who have donated to their flight's Dom efforts with specific items/dragons that wouldn't/couldn't have been bought (for example UMAs, g1 doubles, lvl 25s, etc) - Have you seen your flight actively use them for raffles, programs, etc?

Asking mostly out of curiosity - I've periodically donated unbred g1 doubles to my flight intending them to either be used or sold for funds, but so far nothing has been done with them. Some have been sitting in the holding HibDen for years.
