An important update:

Due to a specific person being a complete child, comments are going to be screened by default.

This is only temporary, and I apologize for the inconvenience- this is going to be a pain in the ass for me, too, but multiple people have come forward about fears of doxxing, and this is the only way to make sure any doxxing is contained.

(This basically will force the doxxer to make a DW account to post any doxxing attempts unscreened, and will let me more reliably report them to DW staff/authorities.)

Again, I apologize, and will be working to unscreen comments as fast as possible, but I'm only one person.

(Vasemod has had some personal issues come up, so I am the only mod atm. Please bear with me until this bit of annoyance has passed.)

The interpretation you're giving is based on everything these people are saying being 100% true, which I really, really doubt. It only takes a little critical thinking to go "hm, there's something else here" - including, for example, why Vynne was sent one of the dragons involved as an intermediary for reasons even Vynne supposedly doesn't know.

Alyxsandre does not have any type of influence over the moderation team that leads to a bunch of high spenders getting banned for nothing. A moderation team that's slow at best and outright negligent at worst when it comes to performing actual moderation actions for people being actively malicious on the site (see the recent homophobe debacle), which is why this stands out so much. Does the critical thinking you're talking about not come with considering those things as well?

The biggest conspiracy I can see here is the assumption of guilt on part of one person who seems to genuinely not have known what's going on, but Weevil hasn't done a good job of painting a picture of his own innocence even with the information he's just willingly shared. And he's not really done a good job of implying the innocence of anyone adjacent to it as a result.

There's got to be more to the story than what Weevil is telling us. There have been hundreds of cases of people block evading to get dragons and even do weird shit with them, but nothing ever happens to the people who do it AFAIK unless they do more on top of that. Doesn't make the action any less wrong, and it can be a gateway to far more destructive harassment, but staff don't seem to prioritize these cases.

Case in point I've had to report people buying dragons around my block. One of those times some asshole I never interacted with block evaded to buy one of my dragons, and used said dragon to make fun of me with a nasty name before exalting it. Staff never even read my harassment ticket. They closed it like a year later and nothing happened.

Because staff have never set this precedent with how they deal with this form of block evasion, in the decade the site has existed, I'm suspicious Weevil and co. did many more things to draw Alyxsandre's ire than what we've been shown so far. Could have been behind the scenes bullying in other ways for all we know.
