An important update:

Due to a specific person being a complete child, comments are going to be screened by default.

This is only temporary, and I apologize for the inconvenience- this is going to be a pain in the ass for me, too, but multiple people have come forward about fears of doxxing, and this is the only way to make sure any doxxing is contained.

(This basically will force the doxxer to make a DW account to post any doxxing attempts unscreened, and will let me more reliably report them to DW staff/authorities.)

Again, I apologize, and will be working to unscreen comments as fast as possible, but I'm only one person.

(Vasemod has had some personal issues come up, so I am the only mod atm. Please bear with me until this bit of annoyance has passed.)

I don't have the time to gather evidence, so pardon my vagueness, but it certainly hasn't changed.

I saw Weevil get Fish in a public discord, and I really don't think the memes in the bio were to piss Alyx off. Weevil seemed to really enjoy the dragon and have fun with it, and this was just him and his friends celebrating getting an expensive dragon. I've seen lots of dragons with memes and silly photoshops filling the bio before.

If someone really wanted to upset Alyx with memes, they'd have gone for a lineage dragon. The rules on offspring of 69696969 are suffocating, and entirely non-enforceable.

Nayrt but while I agree entirely and wouldn’t want a bio like that there’s a big difference between “kinda juvenile” and “harmful” and this falls firmly into juvenile territory. It’s ok for people to be juvenile on a fun browser game.

A really expensive dragon. That was from a user that apparently blocked him that is known to be pretty disliked that hates meme dragons, bought through a third party.

I really have trouble believing any of it was as innocent as you do.

I vaguely remember some screens about M from fire [current or ex mod?] that were posted to SMR. It might still be there. Those screens referenced nasty language use toward members, and borderline stalking being weaponized against a bunch of people for odd reasons at the command of that mod.
Unsurprisingly a bunch of lackeys came to defend all of that, unfortunately. It's possible they somehow got the post taken down as well because I can't currently find it.

This has always sort of annoyed me. Yes, there are some people I don't want to interact with, or that I don't agree with their stances on things or whatever.

Instead of going out of my way to harass them (by buying a dragon from them for the express purpose of doing things that the one person doesn't like), I ...just ignore them or I block them.

I see it on SMR, where people are basically celebrated for being petty.

Just block and move on with your life. Don't give the people you dislike any attention.

Name names! Not everyone knows these people.

They're the reason comments are screened here, lol. The proof of them was posted before and they even showed up to prove everything in the screenshots.

Fish was purchased directly by Weevil from Alyx, before any blocking and when the two were presumably on good terms (given that Alyx LOVES to decline sales). Alyx blocked Weevil later.

To the person who replied to this- I appreciate the links, but that person is the reason comments are screened right now. There's an active investigation against them, and multiple people emailed me about fears of being doxxed. Most of us (or at least the ARR usuals) know who it is. I'd rather not have this entitled psychopath have more motivation to follow up on their threats.

I thought Fish was the second dragon purchase related to this mess? Weevil was blocked after the first dragon purchase as discussed here, and block evaded to get Fish afterwards.

No, it was the first. From what I've been able to gather Fish was bought completely legitimately and then everything happened after.

If this was all because Alyx got abusive when weevil did something with a dragon, prior to using a block, they didn't pre-approve of [as they often do], and that's why they blocked weevil, then I honestly don't feel so good about weevil getting banned over this situation.
Sure, it was a stupid trolling move and weevil should have gotten a staff warning about it at least. However this possible scenario doesn't really legitimize Alyx's block in any way and paints it as an intimidation tactic. If we're talking about a ban resulting from a [admittedly irresponsible] response to Alyx skirting around the dragon-use TOS terms to threaten people, this whole situation becomes hypocritical.

If that interpretation of the timeline happens to be true, Alyx's account should get nuked as well because they are equally engaging in a form of bullying.
