I just saw that Adam is trying to start a new game, and I really hope I don't run into it.
I have been eternally disappointed that Adam and Donna seem to have *excellent* ideas for games. I loved the Twin Skies (think that was the name) idea, and was disappointed when it went down. I **loved** Island Paradise and was genuinely sad that it went down.
But, they seem to have no ability to actually *run* a game/company, so I fully expect anything they touch to either go downhill or be sold off. While being sold off might be good (Neopets had a long run, even if not all of that run was 'good'), it could also be bad (again, see Neopets :P).

No surprise that all the assets are AI generated. Looks like he's anticipating people won't like that, so he's already uh, tried to head off the criticism with this statement on the dragginz site:
"It is certainly a divisive topic, and I don’t ever think AI is going away. We’ve worked with many great artists in the past and will continue to do so in the future. AI’s an amazing tool for an artist to use to help guide a creative vision.
The Internet Computer will have AI smart contracts in the future, and that means we can have provable sets of model training data. You could take original art from a set of artists, create derivative AI art from that training data and then send micropayments back to the original artists. There's always a solution, and these days it usually involves cryptography.
For us though, our aim is to just create the best game that we possibly can with the tools that currently exist."
The 'Internet Computer' will fix everyone's ethical concerns by coming up with at way to pay artists 3 pennies for stealing their life's work. But that doesn't exist and you don't actually care so that's why you're using AI assets, yes very smart Adam, well thought out rebuttal
Lol, the actual site triggered my antivirus with a phishing warning. I'm sure it's probably not anything serious because my software is pretty trigger-happy, but gave me a chuckle.

Dragginz: 👀 neopets dev buys sns1?
PassionPlanet: Who is purchasing? There's still an open bid of 300, sustaining 200, essentially locking everyone's coins...
Dragginz: en.wikipedia.org Adam Powell (game designer) - Wikipedia
truenorth:
Is this confirmed?
Dragginz:
I can't confirm 100%. But, I don't know to many people that would throw 1 million dollars into SNS1 to larp as the neopets creator.
