literally no one on rai's side will provide any sort of evidence. not a single person has shown proof that rai had a commissioner who actually stole art not them, rai has yet to acknowledge that many of their CAs are very similar to fr art, and no one seems to be trying to show proof that rai can actually draw these bgs. no videos, no files, nothing.
so you know what? i think it's pretty reasonable for some people to believe this imgur album, especially when the artist has been acting extremely suspicious. if rai was so shocked to discover that they had accidentally stolen art, why didn't they make an effort to let their customers know? especially when lorwolf staff took 3+ weeks to upload the updated art? wouldn't you as an artist want to clear up ANY misconceptions to ensure everyone was aware that you accidentally stole artwork and were making all efforts possible to fix it? wouldn't you want to offer that up? because you're not at fault?

I am glad that Rai finally posted something about all these accusations but I wish Rai would provide any kind of screenshots or something that shows she drew the backgrounds from 2023 that are in that album. Never doubted that she was a capable artist, but everyone takes shortcuts.
I won't give my personal opinion on if Rai drew those CAs backgrounds or not, as I'm unsure, but a lot of the suspicion and nitpicking of details could have been cleared up a whole lot sooner if they just addressed the issues immediately. They are definitely not identical, but it's probably not a good idea that fellow FR players can immediately look at the CA and see the Brutal Kilt. For me seeing this item combined with the herbalist's mantle make me pretty iffy on ever buying CAs from Rai, even if the AI art accusations are not true.
i feel like people keep forgetting that rai is also a FR user like. it would be VERY hard to just "not notice" that the things they're being commed for are blatant rips from another site they play
1. Same belt and buckle but with slightly different banding and colors
2. Same belts with tassels and circular metal connectors
3. Same fabric with fur lining, but with different colors. One could argue that the pattern on the cloth is also similar. Simple linear pattern along the edge in a light grey with dots.
4. Same black fur with bird skull around shoulder/neck area
5. Same ragged fabric coming out from under the black fur
Items are Brutal Kilt and Carapace Arm. Rai's CA is called Call to Arms. Items modeled on a Skydancer Male flipped horizontally to show in similar posing.
5 points of similarity is a lot. Even if R did not use AI to procedure backgrounds, I cannot support an artist who so blatantly copies the work of others. In my experience, when an artist is caught lying or acting suspicious around the topic of art theft, there is a reason. I have no doubts that there are more examples that people simply haven't found the original references for. At this point every CA they've made should be called into question.
This isn't stolen or traced art. The artist clearly took the main elements of the design from the FR apparel and drew their own LW version. If they were trying to deny the fact that their design is based off of FR apparel then that's rude as hell, but this still isn't stealing someone else's lines by tracing in the way you're trying to make it out to be.

I have been on the fence. I think the AI allegations are a mixed bag. Some of them convince me, others do not. That being said, as an artist, the lack urgency on the artist's part to prove that she painted these backgrounds is bizarre to me.
Being accused of using AI is very scary and I agree is a problem in the modern world. Unfortunately this is the world that we live in at the moment. If I was accused of using AI, I would be bringing up as much evidence as possible to support myself. WIPs I sent my friends, a copy of the file showing my layers, drafts of other projects, a video of myself painting a similar background, anything! Because I am truly creating these pieces of artwork myself, I think it's actually relatively easy to prove that I drew them myself. I have all the evidence that someone who used AI wouldn't have, because I made these pieces.
I wish that I could understand why she choosing to act like this. It is not my gut to side with the negative, but I think it's very suspicious how lack of forthcoming Rai has been this entire time. If I understand the series of events correctly, Rai was alerted that the Herbalist's Mantle was stolen art several weeks ago.
My integrity as an artist is paramount, there's no way I would say nothing for weeks? I would say something even if I thought no one had noticed. It's just not right not to. Rai is acting like someone who got caught, not someone who is the victim.
It would help if Rai would say why they feel that sharing proof or being upfront about these issues would be in any kind of way a negative to her. At this point it will do nothing but exonerate her if she is truly innocent.

As an artist myself, so much of the "AI proof" album is just minor mistakes/shortcuts in perspective or rendering that I've done myself in hand-drawn pieces. Combined with the timing, I just don't think this is a case of AI generation, and regardless of the person being accused, I don't like the precedent making such accusations based on any kind of imperfection in art sets.
Outside of that, I know people have said that this artist has a history of tracing outside the Herbalist Mantle incident, but I don't think anyone in the thread has elaborated. I'd be interested in seeing that, if anyone has it.
