Old player here: Not that many. I have to acquire new dragons for most of the breeds when they are in my lair. Redo all the nests, eye types, gene rarities.
I personally have hatched multiple of all the special eye types. 5 egg nests. Bred many nests.

Honestly, I know a lot of people who still don't know you can restore dragons (...somehow), so it might be there as a way to teach you how to do it? Idk
That's weird, I restored a progen a year or two ago and it automatically gave me the achievement for it.
Rip to you i guess but i unlocked them already from having done both for organic reasons in the past B)
Then don't do it? I'm sorry if I'm missing something, but I'm really confused why you're so upset about this - the various achievements aren't required.
I have to completely agree.
I took a quick look through the achievements, and there are probably some I will never get. The progen one is most likely going to be one of them. Potentially exalting any dragon at all. Probably the one where I have to go from 0 to 50 energy by feeding them manually (I don't let my dragons get that low)
Any of the ones for like 250 dragons or more.
Or how about this one:
When XYZ Meets 123
Hatch a dragon (either from a nest or unhatched egg item) exhibiting primary, secondary, and tertiary gene colors that are directly consecutive on the color wheel
A lot of the battle ones I will probably not do (especially against bosses because I hate fighting bosses, unless Yetis are included as 'bosses')
There are a few more that I am unlikely to never get because I am not interested in those activities etc...
So, having one about exalting a progen and then unexalting it is really not that big of a deal

Honestly the 0 to 50 energy one is really easy if there's someone listing starving fodder.
Ah yes. The "it's not a big deal to me, so it must not be a big deal to anyone else" argument.
I get that some people just really don't care if they are missing achievements. And that's cool. Must be nice for you. I'll just be over here with the other obsessive completionists who are irritated by it.

Yeah, that one's already unlocked for me, and I was relieved for all the reasons you give...but surprised. I've used that function exactly once - exalted a dragon I thought would no longer be useful for a breeding project, then came across a good mate for her - and that project's been over for years now.
Otherwise, the three-month cooldown just makes it too stressful to use in normal circumstances. It's much more valuable to have as an emergency insurance policy against accidental exalts of your permas and other valuable dragons. (Yes, obviously, keeping items on said dragons and etc makes it unlikely to happen anyway, but going by that logic, there's no need for a restore feature at all.)
I hadn't explored undone achievements thoroughly enough yet to realize 'unexalt progen' was a thing, which I've certainly never done and never want to. Definitely a thought that makes me cringe, even to do it extremely briefly for an achievement, though I might grit my teeth and go ahead if the day comes when I unlock literally every single other achievement. I'm too much of a completionist to relish being *that close* to 'done' forever.
And I agree, that's still the less potentially harmful of the two achievements, because it doesn't trigger a cooldown, even if it's the more inconvenient one for me personally.
(The point made elsewhere in this thread about how maybe it's there to educate newer players that the option even exists is a good one, but still...the achievement could have been 'visit the unexalt page and click this button to read about how it works' or something.)
(And tip for anyone else who does this: yes, probably your profile will be fine. But I'd save it in notepad or something just in case.)

As annoying as it is to trip over starvers when you're buying fodder, it's probably equally difficult to find them when you're actively looking for them. (Although, I haven't checked, but I'm going to guess there are at least a few enterprising folks direct-selling their unwanted starved dragons on the forums.)
It's not a problem for me personally - I've got a couple permas who always go hungry since I don't usually convert their obligate food type - but the site-encouraged habit would seem to be, as many players do, using the feed-all action whenever there's a tickdown, which you'd need to suspend for quite a while to get this achievement naturally.

da
For whatever it's worth, I had a lot of pre-done achievements in the clan/lair tab and almost none in the breeding tab. Luckily I had a five-egg nest come ready this morning, and even more luckily I thought to not hatch it immediately after rollover, so there's that one checked off. (I don't know offhand when my last fiver was, but I've definitely hatched other quantities within the last week and those weren't completed either.)
It definitely feels uneven - understandable since it wasn't really an intended feature, just a side-benefit from the devs pre-testing, so it wouldn't equally cover all the achievements and might even differ between players.

Hands-up any other glimmer&gloom zombies who have a consistent 'winning side' and whose brains nearly shattered trying to complete a single puzzle the opposite way for the achievement. Not sure if I've ever seen the happy light sprite before.
If you don't like the achievements that's fine, but to say they shouldn't be achievements because you personally don't want to do them is ridiculous. If the site wants to give me some extra cash for something I already did then I'll take it.
Not every achievement is there for you. There are some that I'll never complete, and that's fine because they're not there for me. They're there for other players with other playstyles. Just don't do the ones you don't like. It's that simple.

It's dell, which has its own issues I have to deal with, but none relating to lorwolf o-O this was actually the first I heard of anyone having any issues. (Tbf though I mainly stick to the discord and not the forums so I missed aaaaallll this) the only time I have issues with lorwolf is when everyone else does (so it's server issues not my computer issues)
Yeah, I haven't checked either, and I realized I could buy starving fodder. It was just another example of an achievement that will likely go un-claimed for a very long time/forever.
Yeah, I just am picky about the dragons I buy because I get attached super easy, and find exalting and reselling hard (I have a hibden tab full of 'gen1s I am not sure I want' that I really should sell, but when I look at them I go 'hmmm, this one isn't bad, maybe I can find something that will work' even if they are the ugliest XYZ to ever XYZ on site, agreed upon by every single person on site....)
The renderer isn't as advanced as FR, but I was so bored with FR's anniversary event I actually joined LW and am having a lot more fun.
My brain played the dial-up sound effect trying to make shadow win. That and clearing easy and special modes.
I absolutely LOVE Carnivore because it's saved a few "You're gonna have Basic tert forever" projects, but I agree, I kinda wish it was teeth only and not have the drool/smoke, and I REALLY wish Carnivore had a Modern version, too.
(I actually got excited when I saw the icon for the gene, because I thought it was going to add MULTIPLE mouths, then was disappointed it was just teeth, but I'll take what crumbs my maw-loving self can get.)

I am so disappointed some of the chickens the same pose on the same dragon breed; I wanted to get one of each and give them ALL to the same dragon as a feral chicken-keeper but they won't all be visible. Boo.
+1
My brain was a constant loading symbol the entire time I was trying to make light win.

For manual feeding, I bought hungry fodder, so that's something.
As for 123, I might look into finding some fodd breeders in grayscale, blues or pastel, those are pretty common.
Breeding 5k ancients tho...ugh

i tried like a million times to understand G&G but apparently my brain is too smooth to get it, I always feel extremely dumb when i cant solve a G&G puzzle and it sits then at over 500 moves and i just close the game then lol
